To celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, inherit the red culture, and carry forward the spirit of patriotism. On June 20, the Party branch of the Sixth Engineering Project Department organized all Party members and some Communist Youth League members to visit and study the Songshan Anti-Japanese War site in Longling County, Baoshan City.

The Songshan Battle was an important part of the Dianxi and Northern Myanmar Campaign of the Anti-Japanese War. In the later stages of the Anti-Japanese War, in order to open the Dian-Myanmar Highway, the Chinese Expeditionary Force attacked Songshan in Lameng Township, Longling County on June 4, 1944. The battle lasted 95 days, completely annihilating the Japanese garrison, the 113th Infantry Regiment. The victory of this battle pushed the Dianxi front outward, breaking the deadlock of the Dianxi campaign and opening the prelude to China's counteroffensive.

Led by the explainer, all Party members came to the Songshan Anti-Japanese War Site Memorial Park. First, they visited the war-witness tree. Then, following the explainer's footsteps, they climbed 96 steps. 12 formations of 402 individual sculptures are neatly arranged, which is awe-inspiring and shocking. They listened to the explainer's explanation of the stories of the veteran formation, the child soldier formation, General Sun Liren, and General Stilwell, outlining scenes from the war in their minds.
Then, along the Songshan plank road, they visited the trenches, bunkers, shell holes, barracks, and cat-ear caves, among other main battlefield sites. Finally, in front of the Songshan Anti-Japanese War Site Monument, all Party members stood solemnly and collectively bowed three times to pay tribute to the heroes of the Songshan Anti-Japanese War and deeply commemorate the deceased anti-Japanese martyrs.

Through this visit and study, reviewing the memories of red history, all Party members truly understood the lofty spirit of the revolutionary predecessors who were not afraid of hardship, fatigue, or sacrifice. Everyone expressed that they should carry forward the revolutionary spirit, consolidate the consensus, unswervingly listen to the Party, be grateful to the Party, and follow the Party. They should fully play the exemplary role of Party members and deeply practice the group's common code of conduct of "loving one's job, cherishing one's position, being honest and trustworthy, and operating according to law".
