Li Xiubo: Reflections on Watching "Clear Stream Poison - Yunnan in Action"

Everything in the world is ephemeral; the powerful and influential are like the fleeting current of a river, constantly changing.

In life, one's impact can be as light as a feather or as heavy as a mountain; historical criminals are destined to be infamous for eternity, while those who contribute to society will be remembered for generations. The commonality is that everyone will be remembered and serve as a cautionary tale or a positive example for future generations.

The anti-corruption documentary "Clear Stream Poison - Yunnan in Action" is worth our careful consideration and reflection. In our growth and development, we must resolutely avoid actions that violate the will of the Party organization and the overall national development. Whether ordinary citizens or Communist Party members, we should all take the lead, especially as a Communist Party member, we should play a vanguard and exemplary role, leading those around us closer to the Party organization.

The Chinese Communist Party is the leading organization in governing the country and promoting social development. All the Party's work is based on the fundamental interests of the overwhelming majority of the people, aiming to build a strong, prosperous, democratic, civilized, harmonious, and beautiful socialist modern country.

However, many people on the path of progress have become politically numb, seriously violating the Party's political discipline and rules; lost their ideals and beliefs, indulging in feudal superstitions; violated the Party's organizational line, distorting the direction of personnel use; seeking comfort and pursuing fame, clinging to feudalistic ideas of privilege.

The Chinese Communist Party is atheistic, cannot believe in religion, and does not participate in feudal superstitious activities. However, it should establish a Marxist view of religion, which is determined by the Party's ideals and beliefs. The Marxist worldview and methodology is a complete philosophical materialism. Many Party members have shown wavering Party spirit, an unsteady stance with the people, and shaken ideals and beliefs, leading to regrettable lifelong actions that pollute the political ecology. This is both irresponsible to oneself and to the Party and the people, betraying the expectations of the Party and the people.

In the anti-corruption documentary "Clear Stream Poison - Yunnan in Action," many people, driven by power and money, and for their own interests, exploited each other, completely ignoring the Party's organizational discipline, forming cliques, and creating small circles and factions. Favoring sycophants and alienating virtuous officials is one of the reasons for the serious pollution of the political ecology. In order to get close to leaders, some resort to any means necessary, creating opportunities for political brokers, leading to political parasitism and moral degradation. One must remember that such parasitism ultimately leads to self-destruction. One should have a sense of awe—awe of nature, awe of discipline—and strictly abide by the rules; this is the right path.

After watching the anti-corruption documentary "Clear Stream Poison - Yunnan in Action" again, my sense of shock and the educational impact have been further enhanced. As a member of a state-owned enterprise, we must also strictly abide by the requirements and discipline, regulate our words and actions, and not take chances; we must be down-to-earth.

In building a clean and honest political ecology, each of us is both a participant and a beneficiary. As a Party member, we must establish the correct worldview, outlook on life, and values; we must have a broad perspective, contribute to national development and the interests of the people; and build a positive image for the company's development and our own development.
