Liu Qingge: You are the April sky of the world

As April approaches, I always recall the beautiful and romantic poem, "You are a tree, a tree of blossoms, a swallow, whispering on the beams. You are love, warmth, and hope! You are April in the human world." And I always think of Lin Huiyin, a talented woman who deeply influenced me.

I remember being captivated by Lin Huiyin's poetry during my middle school years. Her poems were beautiful and moving, her love story was as romantic as a poem, and her life was a brilliant poem itself, envied and praised by all. Her famous works, such as "You Are the April in the World," "A Summer Night in the Mountains," and "Smile," remain fresh in my memory to this day.

"You are the April in the world" -- a hymn of love. I say you are the April in the world, laughter lights up the wind on all sides, light and nimble, dancing and changing in the bright spring light." When I read this, I always think of my Chinese teacher reading my essays, and of winning national essay competitions. I know it was her -- Lin Huiyin's talent -- that gave me the motivation to strive.

Lin Huiyin was not only a poet and writer, with outstanding talent and stunning beauty, but also a female architect. Her literary temperament as a writer and scientific spirit as an architect were perfectly blended in her.

After joining the workforce and becoming a colleague in the field, I learned that Lin Huiyin not only had popular literary works but also made outstanding contributions to architecture. At the age of 28, she wrote "Types of Traditional Chinese Architecture," which has high academic value. Later, she collaborated with Liang Sicheng to complete "A History of Chinese Architecture" and the English version "A Pictorial History of Chinese Architecture." She also compiled the "National Catalog of Cultural Relics and Ancient Buildings," the "City Planning Outline," and designed the national emblem of the People's Republic of China, among other achievements. She became China's first female architect, a pioneer in the field of architectural studies, and her works laid the foundation for future generations' research in architecture.

Because of Lin Huiyin, I fell deeply in love with this profession and the field of architecture, because I have a beautiful fairy living in my heart, standing at the very top of the architectural tower... I hope to realize my life's value in this industry. I wholeheartedly study professional knowledge, strive to obtain certificates such as registered constructor and safety engineer, and dream of one day being able to thrive in this field, mastering everything... Later, I became the company's first female project manager. I enjoy watching workers carefully tie steel bars on the construction site, listening to the pleasant sounds of excavators and rammers, and smelling the fresh scent of concrete at night... Watching building after building rise, I am reminded again... You are the April in the world!
