After Lixia comes Xiaoman. After Xiaoman, Dali's weather is mostly sunny, but the wind in Xiaguan remains unruly and violent, causing the waves on Erhai Lake to rise and fall. After many days of wind and rain, we finally have a clear sky. Although the sun is shining but the wind is still strong, it is the best time for the pipe laying operation. On May 24th, all the project department's construction personnel gathered at the shore at 8 o'clock, but the turbulent waves on the sea surface inevitably caused anxiety among everyone.
10:00 AM: The wind and waves are still raging. 11:00 AM: The wind and waves subside. 12:00 PM: The sea surface is calm. After 4 hours of waiting, this moment finally arrived. After the order was given, all personnel, regardless of their hunger, took their respective positions according to their assigned tasks. Reports came in over the walkie-talkies: "Floating barge in position", "Excavator in position", "Pump in position", "Valve opened", "Warning lights removed", etc. Finally, the water started flowing in. The 5m high intake head slowly sank and disappeared beneath the surface after 20 minutes of continuous inflow, and the more than 300-meter-long pipe was completely submerged after 2 hours.

Nearly 60 days of hard work and effort were for this exciting moment. The successful implementation of the underwater pipe laying work marks that the Dali Sanshui Plant siphon pipe manufacturing and installation project has passed the most dangerous and difficult period. From today on, we no longer have to worry about the raging waves on the sea surface sinking the pipes, and we no longer have to repair the pipe supports damaged by the waves every day. Although there is still a lot of work to be done, it is not as complicated and arduous as the sea surface construction. After another 20 days of hard work, we will submit a satisfactory answer to the company and the owner.

At 3:30 PM, Erhai Lake was still calm, as if quietly waiting for the next wave. Several water birds were chasing and playing on the sea surface, sometimes forming a straight line, sometimes diving silently into the water. On Longkan Wharf, 200 meters from the work site, tourist boats filled with passengers were returning, sounding their horns. Despite the scorching sun, the scenery on the distant shore was still hazy. Facing Erhai Lake every day, I only discovered today how beautiful it is!
