On the afternoon of February 24, the Seventh Engineering Department held a 2017 annual work summary meeting. The meeting summarized and analyzed the work of 2017 and deployed the work of 2018. Members of the Seventh Engineering Department leadership team, heads of various business units, project managers, and office staff attended the meeting. Company Chairman Gu Yongmao and Vice Manager Kong Xinghu were also present.
At the meeting, heads of various business units, including safety, quality, cost, human resources, and materials, reported on the previous year's work and made deployment arrangements for this year's work. Jiao Yu, the deputy secretary of the Engineering Department, put forward four requirements for completing the 2018 work: First, everyone should actively take the initiative in their respective positions, report their work in a timely manner, take responsibility for what they should be responsible for, and complete the tasks well. Resolutely abandon the idea of "waiting and relying," and eliminate and prevent laziness and inaction. Second, members of the leadership team and project managers should adhere to the "profit supreme" concept, strengthen management, and reduce costs and increase efficiency through refined management. At the same time, the management process should focus on team building and talent cultivation, improving team cohesion and combat effectiveness through management, and mobilizing the enthusiasm and initiative of employees. Third, it is necessary to focus on implementation, achieving the effect of saying one thing, doing one thing, and accomplishing one thing, enhancing the credibility of the project department. At the same time, when comprehensively promoting various work tasks, combining with the actual work, emancipating the mind, innovating ideas, and actively creating some work highlights. Fourth, it is necessary to strengthen the post-holiday resumption of work inspection, strictly implement the company's document requirements, and ensure the smooth progress of project construction. At the same time, attention should be paid to safety education upon resumption of work, ensuring that no safety problems occur during the transition period between holidays and work, when ideological negligence is prone to accidents.
Yang Zhendong, manager of the Engineering Department, comprehensively summarized the completion of the department's 2017 targets and the production of key projects, summarizing the achievements and experiences, and analyzing the problems and shortcomings. For the 2018 work, he proposed: First, adhere to the leading position in operation, make full use of various resources, establish the concept of all-staff participation in operation, and drive development with major and key projects. Second, strengthen management and seek efficiency through management. Focusing on the core of reducing costs and increasing efficiency, strengthen management control systems, and do a good job in cost, technology, quality, progress, and safety management. Third, increase the intensity of adjusting the structure of management personnel in the Engineering Department, increase the intensity of cultivating employees' ability to perform multiple tasks, and focus on improving the daily management level of project managers, technical personnel, and construction personnel in construction project departments. Fourth, improve the level of project planning and address the objectivity and feasibility of project planning. Plan to establish a planning, compilation, and review team at the Engineering Department level. Fifth, strengthen information construction, conduct training on various management modules of the project, effectively apply integration to engineering management, timely and accurately input various cost data, obtain data directly from the system, and timely reflect the project's profit and loss status for correction.
Kong Xinghu, vice manager of the company, put forward three requirements for the development of the Engineering Department: First, further enhance confidence in development, strengthen the sense of urgency, maintain the wolf spirit, and strengthen the level and ability of continuous operation. Second, strictly control management risks, improve the quality of development, and strengthen the efforts to collect overdue accounts receivable. Third, improve basic management. Project management should be planned in advance, safety work is paramount, and party building work should be implemented promptly. Ensure a successful start in 2018.
Chairman Gu Yongmao requested the Engineering Department to analyze and study the reasons for the unsatisfactory results of continuous operation. In this year's work, it is necessary to firmly grasp the leading position in operation, and at the same time, promote operation through production, control costs, create profits, complete various economic and technical indicators, and ensure a significant improvement in the level of operation and development in 2018.
The meeting issued a proposal: "History will only favor those who are firm, striving, and fighting, but will not wait for those who hesitate, slack off, and fear difficulties. Market competition never sympathizes with tears; sustainable development is the only way, and development requires hard work. We must raise our spirits, strengthen our confidence, take the initiative, work with the mentality of the masters of the Engineering Department, and contribute our utmost to successfully complete the tasks for 2018."
