The Party secretary and vice mayor led a group to investigate the relocation and construction project of the Kunming main city sewage treatment plant sludge disposal project.

During the investigation, the Secretary of the Municipal Committee and the Deputy Mayor learned about the sludge treatment plant's treatment processes and procedures, the plant's functional structure configuration and personnel allocation, and visited the unloading station, digestion control room, pre-reaction area, dehydration room, and underground passage. They also examined samples of the sludge and wastewater before and after treatment in detail.

After the investigation, the Secretary of the Municipal Committee and the Deputy Mayor expressed high recognition of the project's construction. They also urged the owner, design, and construction units to continue their efforts to complete this project that benefits the country and the people with high quality and efficiency.

The project is located in the Kunming Environmental Protection Science and Technology Industrial Park in Fumin County, covering an area of 29.7 mu. The Phase I project has a processing capacity of 1200m³/ tons per day, and the Phase II project has a processing capacity of 3000³/ tons per day. The project uses MAC-CAR technology. The project started construction in 2016 Year 10 Month and is scheduled to complete the construction of the deep dehydration facilities of the water purification plant by 2019 Year 6 Month 30 Day.
