Carrying Forward the Red Gene: Gu Yongmao Leads Party Members and Employees of the Three Departments in Diannan Area to Visit the Site of the First Congress of the Communist Party of Yunnan

To celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, on June 11, Gu Yongmao, Party Secretary and Chairman of the Board of Directors, led the Communist Party members and employees of the Honghe area of the Third Engineering Department to visit the Chani Pi Revolutionary Education Base in Mengzi City. They looked back on the glorious history of the First Congress of the Communist Party of Yunnan, commemorated revolutionary martyrs, and strengthened their ideals and beliefs. Gan Yong, member of the company's Party committee and chairman of the trade union, and Sun Jinyao, member of the Party committee and secretary of the Discipline Inspection Committee, also participated in the visit.

Gu Yongmao led the cadres and employees to the relief sculpture of the site of the First Congress of the Communist Party of Yunnan, where they listened to an introduction of the underground work carried out by revolutionary martyrs in Yunnan Province and Chani Pi. Afterwards, he led the cadres and employees to visit the site of the First Congress of the Communist Party of Yunnan. While paying respects to the objects and residences related to the revolutionary martyrs' work and life, Gu Yongmao paused thoughtfully, deeply commemorating the revolutionary martyrs, and emotionally recounted the relevant history of the First Congress of the Communist Party of Yunnan to the employees present. This allowed the employees to fully understand the glorious deeds of the older generation of proletarian revolutionaries, relive that revolutionary period, and truly appreciate the spirit of self-sacrifice and dedication of the revolutionary martyrs under the extremely difficult conditions of that time.

Afterwards, Gu Yongmao led the Party members present to renew their Party membership oaths in front of the monument commemorating the First Congress of the Communist Party of Yunnan.

Finally, in the Party education room, Gu Yongmao emphasized that this year marks the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Party. Party members should strengthen their beliefs, uphold Party spirit, unswervingly follow the Party, and be qualified Communist Party members. He also encouraged non-Party members present to actively draw closer to the Party organization, learn from the revolutionary martyrs' humility, prudence, and hard work in their daily work and life, maintain their original aspirations, stay at their posts, and contribute their strength to the development of the company and the group.
