To address the issue of insufficient single-staff dormitories, the renovation of eight single-staff dormitories was added to the company's agenda in April this year. After three months, the old buildings have been transformed, and employees now have "new" apartments.
The eight single-staff dormitories are old, built a long time ago, and are old-fashioned red-brick buildings. Upon entering the dormitories, one sees old bunk beds or wooden beds, cement floors, simple wooden doors and windows, aging water and electrical lines, and low occupancy rates, posing significant safety hazards. Considering the actual shortage of single-staff dormitories, the company conducted a field survey and decided to renovate the eight dormitory buildings. The renovation of these eight buildings became a key民生工程 (people's livelihood project) that the company leaders cared most about and employees were most concerned with.

According to the company's unified arrangements and deployment, starting from late April, the company's integrated service center began to clean up and relocate rooms, shops, and personnel in the eight dormitories, handle relevant renovation procedures, and promptly organize the renovation construction. With tight deadlines and heavy tasks, after receiving the notice, the integrated service center assigned dedicated personnel to form a relocation working group, held a relocation work meeting, developed a moving schedule, and prepared for mobilization in advance. At the relocation site, dormitory staff actively adhered to the moving schedule, prepared their packing in advance, and the integrated service center staff fully demonstrated their spirit of mutual assistance and teamwork, helping employees with relocation one-on-one. In cases where employees were on vacation and unable to move their belongings, they proactively helped with packing and moving. The entire process was orderly, and with everyone's teamwork, the relocation work was completed smoothly and safely.
Starting in May, based on the problems and hidden dangers reported in the eight single-staff dormitory buildings, the company comprehensively considered and ultimately determined the renovation plan. During the construction process, company leaders repeatedly went to the construction site for inspection and guidance, resolving problems and difficulties encountered during the construction process on-site.
Cui Yongzhi, the company's Party Committee Vice Secretary, Vice Chairman, and General Manager, guided the work on-site.
Gan Yong, member of the company's Party Committee and chairman of the labor union, and Liang Tao, the safety supervisor, inspected the safety work.

After intense and orderly construction, on July 1st, on the eve of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, the company's employee apartment renovation was fully completed. The renovated eight dormitory buildings have been fully upgraded to employee apartments. The apartment rooms are designed as 4-person and 3-person rooms, with a total of 18 rooms and 69 beds. Each bed is designed with a bed on top and a desk below, and is equipped with an independent wardrobe and storage compartment. The apartment building is spacious, bright, clean, and tidy, with complete facilities including washing machines, shower rooms, and independent bathrooms. Employees can check in with facial recognition and simply bring their luggage.

The employee apartments implement dynamic management, implemented by the integrated service center. In July, the first batch of residents will arrive—the new employees who joined in 2021. After the new employees join, the company will re-allocate the new employee dormitories according to their job assignments. Later, project frontline personnel returning to Kunming can apply for accommodation based on their actual situation.
The completion of the employee apartment renovation has significantly enhanced the sense of well-being among the company's cadres and employees, solving the practical problems of project frontline employees returning to Kunming and the difficulty of new employees finding accommodation, truly putting "I will do practical things for the employees" into practice.
