Tibet Giant Dragon Project conducts emergency drills for production safety accidents

To thoroughly implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's important expositions and instructions on safety production, and to improve the ability of project managers to handle emergencies in production safety, on October 19, the ore system project department of the Tibet Julong Copper Mine Phase II expansion project conducted a safety accident emergency drill. More than 20 project managers from various work areas participated in the activity.

This drill simulated scenarios of high-altitude workers' safety belts being improperly fastened, leading to falls from heights, and on-site workers being injured by machinery. It focused on the initial handling of accidents and the rapid response and coordinated operations of emergency rescue forces. After the accident, on-site management personnel reacted quickly, reporting to superiors while protecting the scene and conducting preliminary handling. The emergency rescue team and medical rescue team quickly rushed to the scene to conduct on-site evacuation and treatment. Through close cooperation from multiple parties, the drill was successfully completed.

Afterwards, the on-site safety officer reviewed and commented on the drill process. It was stated that this emergency drill further improved the project department's ability to handle and coordinate emergency events, laying a solid foundation for creating a safety production atmosphere of "everyone talks about safety, everyone knows how to respond to emergencies." However, some shortcomings were also exposed. In the future safety production management process, we must continue to keep the safety production string tight, proactively take on the responsibility for safety production, be prepared for emergencies, rectify problems promptly, and continuously conduct safety education for workers, improving their safety awareness.
