The 28MW steam turbine cylinder installation of the Yukun Iron and Steel Power Generation Project of the Second Engineering Project Department was successfully completed.

11 On September 9th, the 28MW steam turbine cylinder coupling of the Yukun Steel Power Generation Project, undertaken by the Second Engineering Project Department, was successfully completed. This marks another important milestone following the completion of the project's No. 1 boiler's overall water pressure test. It is understood that this steam turbine is a single-cylinder, single-shaft, impulse condensing type, with a total weight of 65 tons and maximum dimensions of 6346×4890×2280mm.

Steam turbine cylinder coupling is the most important and complex stage in the installation of the main steam turbine equipment. To ensure the safe, efficient, and high-quality completion of the cylinder coupling task, the project management team planned in advance, made meticulous arrangements, and thoroughly prepared for the preliminary work. During the cylinder coupling process, specialized personnel provided on-site supervision throughout, and the operators fully demonstrated their craftsmanship, striving for excellence in every procedure and every step. Finally, with the concerted efforts of all participants, the partition plates, bearings, rotor, and cylinder body were precisely lifted into the cylinder, and the cylinder cover was seamlessly coupled to the cylinder, marking the successful completion of the steam turbine cylinder coupling and laying a solid foundation for the subsequent installation, commissioning, and overall start-up of two 110MW turbine units.

Overcoming difficulties to achieve excellent results and forging ahead to create a new chapter. From the arrival of the steam turbine equipment to the successful completion of the cylinder coupling, it took 40 days. The project management team, with its superb technology and high-quality service, has won unanimous recognition from the owner and the supervision unit.
