From an ordinary worker to a safety manager, Wang Weicai, the safety director of the Duobao project, has always fulfilled his duties in his ordinary position, using his actions to safeguard every corner of the project.

Wang Weicai has worked in safety management for 12 years, having been involved in 10 projects. In October 2022, the Yunnan Duobao Cable Group Co., Ltd. Power New Materials Equipment Industrial Cluster Science and Technology Park project officially started construction. In February 2023, Wang Weicai was assigned to the Duobao project as the safety director. The project has a tight schedule and heavy tasks. As the project's safety manager, he has always been conscientious and dedicated.

2023 In March, the company further promoted the application of smart construction sites, and Wang Weicai participated in the construction of the Duobao project's smart construction site. He participated in the entire process of bidding, procurement, and installation for the project, running between the company and the project site. Ultimately, the smart construction site construction task was successfully completed and put into use. Wang Weicai said: "Using the smart construction site safety monitoring system, we can accurately and objectively reflect the actual situation on site, making safety monitoring real-time."

2023 In April, in order to complete the relocation of the original transformer and ensure the normal power supply of the project, Wang Weicai organized some management personnel to remove and reinstall the transformer, lay and manufacture cables, etc., during the evening. However, due to the tight schedule and limited temporary electricians on site, and because it was during peak electricity consumption, it took more than 6 hours to restore power to the entire site.

6 June is National Safety Production Month, and the company planned to conduct emergency drills at the Duobao project. To ensure the effectiveness of the drills and allow all cadres and employees to better understand emergency response methods, Wang Weicai actively coordinated with colleagues from various departments and organized desktop drills and pre-drills in advance. Ultimately, the company's comprehensive emergency drills achieved the expected results and were well-received.

Throughout the flood season, Wang Weicai never slacked off. During the day, he organized some management personnel to inspect key areas such as temporary electricity, small and medium-sized equipment, large machinery, and external scaffolding. For drainage problems encountered during construction, he promptly organized construction personnel to conduct on-site inspections and develop on-site solutions, ensuring smooth drainage on the site during the flood season. During this period, two tower cranes were powered off for more than 24 hours, and temporary electricians could not find the cause. After learning about this, Wang Weicai led the management personnel to conduct a systematic investigation, eventually discovering and promptly resolving the problem, allowing the two tower cranes to resume normal operation.

Since joining the company in 2011, Wang Weicai has always participated in engineering construction management with full work enthusiasm and a selfless work attitude. He is serious, hardworking, and has a strong team spirit. In the management process, he has always adhered to the safety production principle of "safety first, prevention first, comprehensive management," promptly and effectively addressing any identified hidden dangers.
