Company union launches "Hand in hand with children, preventing fire hazards" parent-child fire safety themed activity

5 On August 25th, the company's trade union, in collaboration with the Kunming Wuhua District Fire Rescue Brigade, jointly held a parent-child fire safety themed activity titled "Hand in Hand with Children, Preventing Fires." Over 100 employees and their children participated. Yang Yu, the company's Party Committee Vice Secretary, employee director, and chairman of the trade union, and Sun Jinyao, the company's Party Committee member and secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission, attended the event.

During the activity, under the guidance of firefighters, participants visited the fire brigade's "Century Time Tunnel," the "Three Loves" science education base, the fire science corridor, and the firefighters' dormitory. Through interactive activities such as experiencing the aerial ladder truck, learning fire knotting techniques, and trying on fire suits, they gained a deeper understanding of fire safety knowledge.

With their parents, the children personally experienced an evacuation drill. In a smoke-filled environment, following the firefighters' instructions, they covered their mouths and noses with wet towels, bent down, and successfully escaped from the simulated fire scene. This segment allowed the children to deeply understand the dangers of fire and the importance of self-rescue, and they mastered basic fire self-rescue skills.

Finally, children from three families shared their experiences from the activity. The head of the company's safety supervision and management department gave a lecture on fire safety knowledge.

This activity not only enhanced the fire safety awareness and self-rescue abilities of employees and their children but also strengthened parent-child relationships. Through hands-on experience and practical operations, everyone gained a deeper understanding of the importance of fire safety.
