9 On July 22, the Party branch of the Sixth Engineering Project Department organized a "Promoting Learning and Improving Quality through Competition" Quality Month themed Party Day activity. Using the Quality Month competition as a foundation, the Engineering Department held a "passing-the-torch" apprentice technical scheme competition and a "one drawing, one plan" material plan and quantity identification competition. Xu Yanlu, member of the company's Party committee and chief engineer, and heads of relevant functional departments provided guidance and engaged in in-depth exchanges with cadres and employees on comprehensively deepening project management. More than 60 Party members and frontline management personnel from the Engineering Department participated in the activity.

Xu Yanlu delivered a mobilization speech at the event: Firstly, this activity was carried out using the Party branch as a platform and key personnel in project management as the main actors. New methods of mentorship and knowledge sharing were explored through the competition, passing on the excellent work methods and styles of the "old masters" in the Sixth Engineering Department's traditional industrial project construction. Secondly, this competition is both a contest and a platform for dissemination. Through the competition, the requirements for preparing technical schemes and organizing material plans in daily management are gradually instilled into the minds of management personnel. Thirdly, this competition is both a contest and a test. For project management personnel to grow and develop, they cannot only read books, but also learn from practical experience. Through this activity, they can compare, learn from each other, and improve their work.

This themed Party Day activity closely followed the theme of Quality Month, "Strengthening Quality Awareness and Promoting High-Quality Development." 24 young project managers, construction workers, and material personnel from the Engineering Department submitted their work for the competition. They presented their technical schemes and material planning ideas and answered questions from the judges, showcasing their comprehensive project management capabilities. The judges commented on the targetedness, feasibility, economic efficiency, and optimizable process measures, and offered four valuable suggestions: 1. Summarize the core technical schemes from the pulp and paper industry to form a more competitive technical force; 2. Strengthen the integration of technical schemes and cost economics; 3. Improve the skills of on-site material management to further enhance project basic management capabilities; 4. Conduct a "review" of completed projects to summarize improvable construction processes and cost-saving measures, continuously improving the overall project management level.
