The Group attends the press conference on the social responsibility of Yunnan Provincial State-owned Enterprises

On the afternoon of August 17, the press conference on the social responsibility (ESG) work of Yunnan's state-owned enterprises, "Yunnan in the Past Ten Years" (second session), was held at the Haigeng Hall. Chen Zujun, Party Secretary and Chairman of the Group Company, attended the conference, releasing the Group's achievements in fulfilling its social responsibilities in recent years and answering reporters' questions.

Chen Zujun stated that as the main body of state-owned capital investment, operation, and construction in the province's construction field and related industries, Yunnan Construction Investment Group has always remained true to its original aspiration and mission, deeply integrated into the national and Yunnan provincial development strategies, focused on its main investment and construction business, served the people's ever-growing needs for a better life and the economic and social development of the province, contributed the strength of state-owned enterprises, and demonstrated the value of state-owned enterprises.

Chen Zujun, under the theme of "Focusing on the Main Responsibilities and Businesses, Serving Local Development, Contributing the Strength of Construction Investment," detailed the achievements of the Group's social responsibility work since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China from five aspects: constructing an interconnected network to support the development of strong transportation; engaging in ecological civilization construction to protect green mountains and clear waters; focusing on major livelihood projects to take on heavy responsibilities; winning the decisive battle against poverty and supporting rural revitalization; and jointly drawing a blueprint for enterprise development and sharing development achievements.

Chen Zujun stated that the larger the scale of an enterprise, the greater its responsibility. As an important backbone state-owned enterprise in the province, Yunnan Construction Investment Group resolutely implements the decisions and deployments of the Party Central Committee and has an inescapable responsibility in fulfilling its social responsibilities. In 2022, the Group will take high-quality development with internal-driven growth as its theme, "steady progress and progress towards excellence" as its main line, reform and innovation as its fundamental driving force, and the preservation and appreciation of state-owned assets as its fundamental goal. It will adhere to the balance of scale and efficiency, speed and quality, coordinate epidemic prevention and control with production and operation, ensure the successful completion of various annual targets and tasks, strive to build a "quality construction investment," "green construction investment," "digital construction investment," "clean construction investment," and "happy construction investment," and make every effort to promote the Group's social responsibility work to a new level, contributing the strength of construction investment to the economic and social development of Yunnan Province.

In the Q&A session, Chen Zujun introduced how to further fulfill social responsibilities and better play the exemplary role of state-owned enterprises. He pointed out that the Group will continue to resolutely implement the decisions and deployments of the Provincial Party Committee and Provincial Government, serve the overall situation, prioritize people's livelihood, and focus on the main line of development of "steady progress and progress towards excellence," strive to promote high-quality development with internal-driven growth, rely on the advantages of the investment, operation, and construction platform in the construction field and related industries, and better play a leading role in infrastructure construction, ecological environmental protection, and major livelihood projects.

First, we will fully implement the provincial rural water supply guarantee three-year special action plan to help the province consolidate and expand the achievements in poverty alleviation and effectively connect with the comprehensive promotion of rural revitalization. We will fully participate in the construction of the "Xing Shui Run Dian" project, promote the construction of four irrigation districts and four reservoirs among the 150 major national water conservancy projects, actively implement the requirements of integrated urban and rural water supply, and promote the early realization of the goal of modern water network infrastructure construction in our province.

Second, we will continue to make efforts in the field of plateau lake governance, using the Group's Erhai Lake governance project as a model, applying the successful practices in Erhai Lake protection and governance, continuing to strive in the governance of the nine major plateau lakes, helping the province win the "lake revolution" campaign, and contributing to the province's efforts to become a leader in ecological civilization construction.

Third, we will continue to leverage the Group's advantages in highway construction, increase investment in the new round of rural highway renovation and reconstruction projects in the province, strive to implement more projects, and undertake more tasks. In the task of "interconnection" of county-level expressways in our province, we will implement existing projects, strive for early completion and opening to traffic, and make new and greater contributions to rural revitalization, infrastructure improvement, economic stability, and growth in our province.
