On the morning of May 31, the Group Trade Union organized a "Warmly Welcoming the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and Establishing a New Era" model worker report meeting in the company's comprehensive report hall. The event invited Comrade Wei Dong, a senior welder technician, senior welding engineer, Yunling chief technician, Yunling craftsman, and Yunnan Provincial model worker from Yunnan JianTou Third Installation Engineering Co., Ltd., to give a report on the deeds of model workers and craftsmen. More than 70 cadres and employees from the group's subordinate secondary units attended the meeting, which was presided over by Zhao Yanbo, the deputy chairman of the group's trade union, women's director, and director of the trade union office.

Comrade Wei Dong shared his understanding of the spirit of model workers and craftsmen with everyone, combining some small stories from his growth experience and from the perspective of what spiritual qualities model workers and craftsmen possess. He said that model workers and craftsmen should possess the following qualities: diligent study and practice, pursuit of exquisite skills; cherishing the platform, loving their jobs and careers, and respecting the old company; being full of confidence, having an almost obsessive love for their profession; having a spirit of never being satisfied, pursuing perfection; having a tenacious spirit and liking to meet challenges. Finally, he said: "My honor is not my own; it is the result of the collective's joint efforts."

Zhao Yanbo put forward four opinions on how to deeply publicize the deeds of model workers and vigorously promote the spirit of model workers: First, we must promote the spirit of model workers and give full play to the role of the working class as the main force; second, we must learn the spirit of model workers and love our jobs and careers and make contributions in our work; third, we must inherit the spirit of model workers, support Yunnan's high-quality development in practical actions, and make new contributions in the journey of realizing the Chinese Dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation; fourth, we must take model workers as examples, embrace ideals, have lofty aspirations, and dare to innovate.

Zhao Yanbo emphasized that all levels of trade union organizations should vigorously promote the great spirit of model workers of "loving one's job and career, striving for excellence, working hard, daring to innovate, being indifferent to fame and fortune, and being willing to dedicate," further creating a good atmosphere of learning from, respecting, admiring, and striving to be model workers, and guiding employees to revitalize their labor enthusiasm and unleash their labor potential through multiple approaches and at multiple levels. The vast number of employees should firmly establish the concept that labor is the most glorious, the most sublime, the greatest, and the most beautiful, working diligently, honestly, and scientifically, making the pursuit of labor a value support, making innovation and creation a conscious action, and making the spirit of model workers the strongest voice of the times.
