On November 10, 2019, the Ouyinu Lithium Mine, organized and implemented by the First Engineering Project Department, successfully commenced operation with material. The crushing, screening, and grinding-flotation workshops underwent trial production, with the one-time material trial run succeeding, laying a solid foundation for full-scale production in the future.

The project is located in the Sichuan-Tibet Plateau region, with the concentrator built on a mountainside at an altitude of 3600 meters, and the tailings dam and tailings filter press workshop located on a mountain ridge at an altitude of 4200 meters. The construction of two φ178*14 pipelines (tailings slurry, return water) from the tailings filter press workshop to the concentrator was particularly arduous, with some sections of the pipeline having an incline exceeding 60°. Transportation was difficult; although the provincial highway in Yelong Village is only 13 kilometers from the concentrator, it takes an hour and a half to travel there via the construction access road, and two and a half hours to reach the 4200-meter tailings dam. Many veteran drivers from transportation companies were unwilling to transport materials from the foot of the mountain to the concentrator and tailings pond. The construction environment was harsh, with only a six-month construction period from May to November each year. It snows in June and intermittently from October onwards. The concentrator project officially started in March of this year. During the six-month period, we at JianTou people worked hard, braving wind and snow and the intense sun of the plateau, never giving up despite the harsh conditions, and ultimately achieved phased results. On the morning of November 10, leaders from Shengtun Group and the Sichuan Aba Prefecture government came to the site for a commissioning ceremony. As a member of JianTou, we were filled with excitement and pride. Although victory is in sight, we must continue to uphold our spirit of perseverance and hard work, actively rectifying minor problems encountered during the trial operation. The concentrator is scheduled to commence full-scale production and output 1000 tons of material by the end of November.
