Plateau Jinchuan sings the song of JianTou

2018 Year 9 Month, the company's first engineering project department successfully won the steel structure and process installation project of the mining and selection tailings of the Yelonggou lithium polymetallic mine in Jinchuan County, Sichuan Province.

Jinchuan County, Sichuan Province, is located in the northwestern Sichuan Plateau, on the eastern edge of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, in the upper reaches of the Dadu River. It is rich in mineral resources and has an altitude of 3500-4000 meters. The terrain is complex and the natural environment is harsh. Jinchuan County is home to Tibetan, Qiang, Hui, Han and other 14 ethnic groups, making it a place where multiple ethnic groups live together. The construction site is characterized by high altitude, cold, hypoxia, strong ultraviolet radiation, and sparse population. Shortly after the construction team moved in, personnel began to experience symptoms such as dizziness, headache, chest tightness, shortness of breath, and irritability and loss of appetite.

In response to this situation, the project manager conducted special adaptive training for personnel entering the plateau to improve the tolerance of construction personnel to plateau hypoxia, adjust their daily diet and living habits, keep Rhodiola Rosea capsules and other medicines on hand, and take preventive measures for emergencies. The external humanistic environment of the project is complex. The local area is mainly inhabited by Tibetans. To avoid conflicts, project managers proactively visited the local village secretary and negotiated an agreement. While ensuring normal construction, the project's machinery and equipment and transportation vehicles give priority to local villagers, which not only resolves conflicts but also generates economic income for local villagers. At the same time, the project department organized construction personnel to learn about the local Tibetan people's customs and respect their cultural and religious beliefs. Compared with other civil engineering companies, the Jinchuan project has not had a single conflict so far, and the project construction process has been successfully advanced while maintaining ethnic unity.

The biggest difficulty of the project is the transportation of construction materials and living supplies. The project construction site is located in a remote area, more than 90 kilometers away from Jinchuan County. From the county to the construction site, one must cross many mountains. The highway along the line has crisscrossing valleys and uneven roads. Construction materials and living supplies need to be transported twice, which greatly increases the cost and difficulty of project operation and brings great difficulties to construction. After multiple consultations by the project department personnel, the supply of construction materials and living supplies was ensured.

The Sichuan Jinchuan project overcame the harsh plateau environment and ensured the smooth progress of the project while maintaining ethnic unity. In terms of management, guided by the people-oriented philosophy, the project department adopted appropriate material incentive measures for construction personnel to encourage their enthusiasm. Under the leadership of Zhao Zhao, the project manager, all management personnel stayed at their posts, with no one leaving early, and no construction team leaving early, completing the safety, quality, and progress goals on schedule.

The successful completion of the Sichuan Jinchuan project proves that every construction team of Yunnan Construction Investment is a plateau iron army that dares to fight tough battles and can win them. At an altitude of 4000 meters above sea level, the "Construction Investment Song" resounded once again.
