On March 17, the Group's International Department organized a training session on "Business of Overseas Aid Project Safety Management," aiming to strengthen knowledge of overseas safety management and improve professional ethics. Subsidiaries of the Group involved in overseas projects participated in the training. The company's No. 1 Engineering Project Department, as the company's main overseas construction team, promptly organized relevant personnel to participate in the training at the Group's Development Building.
The training was conducted by Ai Xiaochou, the International Department's Safety Director. Director Ai first introduced the development history of China's overseas aid projects and the situation in recent years. He pointed out that overseas aid projects began in 1950 and have since provided assistance to over 160 countries globally, enhancing international recognition. While overseas aid projects have continuously grown stronger, many challenges remain in their management due to differing national conditions. Director Ai used overseas aid projects as examples to provide detailed explanations of the following: supervision and management of foreign aid projects; safety responsibilities of construction companies undertaking foreign aid projects; safe and civilized construction of overseas aid projects; principles of safety management implementation; risk management and classification; major safety management measures; safety training; government and management units involved in the design of foreign aid projects; risk and responsibility allocation in overseas aid projects; special supervision and inspection of overseas aid projects; common problems in overseas project safety management; and preventive measures for overseas project safety management.
The training provided a new understanding of overseas aid project safety management. Participants learned that the situation remains severe, given the differences in national conditions, environments, religions, and beliefs. As personnel engaged in foreign affairs management, we must clearly understand the importance and complexity of overseas safety management. We must fully integrate the realities of the recipient countries, strengthen our professional skills, strictly regulate safety production management, contribute to the safety control of overseas aid projects, and contribute to the development of the Group's and company's overseas aid undertakings.
