Leadership Cadre Lecture Hall: Gu Yongmao Delivers a Thematic Party History Education Lecture in the Honghe Area of the Third Construction Department

On the morning of June 11, Gu Yongmao, Party Secretary and Chairman of the Board of the company, delivered a special party lecture entitled "Reviewing the Glorious Party History and Welcoming the Centenary of the Party's Founding" at the Miyu Expressway project department of the Honghe area in the Third Engineering Project Department. More than 40 people attended, including Gan Yong, member of the company's Party Committee and chairman of the trade union; Sun Jinyao, secretary of the Discipline Inspection Committee; and the main leaders of the Third Engineering Department and cadres and employees of the Honghe area.

Gu Yongmao began by discussing the importance of conducting Party history education. He explained that conducting Party history education is a necessary requirement for remembering the Party's original aspiration and mission and advancing the great cause of the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation; it is also a necessary requirement for strengthening faith and belief and upholding and developing socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era; and it is even more a necessary requirement for promoting the Party's self-revolution and maintaining the Party's vitality. When discussing why it is necessary to study history, he emphasized that history is the foundation for a nation's survival and development, and that history provides beneficial insights for governance. We must show more respect and reflection for history, adhere to the Marxist view of history, and draw lessons and wisdom from history. He then recounted the glorious journey of the Communist Party of China over the past 100 years, using examples such as Party Congresses and the achievements of the thirteen Five-Year Plans.

Gu Yongmao pointed out that only through studying Party history can one truly understand the arduous journey the Party has traveled and the difficulties it has encountered in revolution and struggle. Combining his own experiences, he told the employees present that history is a good nutrient; the more one reviews the Party's history, the more faith one will have in one's heart.

Finally, Gu Yongmao advised everyone to establish a correct view of Party history, suggesting that the employees present should read and study Party history more in their spare time, draw nourishment from Party history, and summarize experience in learning and accumulate methods in practice.
