Study Session for Leading Cadres: Yan Guang Delivers a Party History Lecture at the 10th Engineering Project Department Party Branch

On the afternoon of May 24, Yan Xueguang, the company's vice general manager, delivered a special party history lecture entitled "Five Hundred Years of Socialist Turmoil and the Contemporary Value of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics" to the Party branch of the Tenth Engineering Project Department. All Party members, active Party members, and employees of the Tenth Engineering Project Department participated in the lecture.

The special party lecture revolved around the connotation of socialism, the exploration of socialist theory and practice, the theoretical origins and historical process of the theoretical system of socialism with Chinese characteristics, etc. It focused on explaining the basic characteristics, theoretical basis, stage characteristics, historical value, and major theoretical points of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era.

Yan Xueguang pointed out that the proposal of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era marks the entry of socialism with Chinese characteristics into a new era. This new era, viewed from the connection between history, present, and future, is one that carries forward the past and ushers in the future, an era for continuing to achieve the great victory of socialism with Chinese characteristics under new historical conditions; from the perspective of the historical mission it shoulders, it is an era for comprehensively building a strong socialist modern country on the basis of comprehensively building a moderately prosperous society; from the perspective of the Chinese people's pursuit of a better life, it is an era for people of all ethnic groups across the country to work together, continuously create a better life, and gradually realize common prosperity for all people; from the perspective of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, it is an era for all Chinese sons and daughters to work together to strive for the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation and the Chinese Dream; and from the perspective of China's place in the global landscape, it is an era in which China is increasingly moving closer to the center of the world stage and making greater contributions to humanity.

Yan Xueguang emphasized that the major scientific proposition of "building socialism with Chinese characteristics," clearly put forward by Comrade Deng Xiaoping, has gradually formed new concepts, new conclusions, and new ideas about socialism with Chinese characteristics in the practice of reform and opening up. We should earnestly study Marxism-Leninism, Mao Zedong Thought, Deng Xiaoping Theory, the important thought of "Three Represents," the Scientific Outlook on Development, and Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, and arm our minds with advanced theories and ideas.

Yan Xueguang also extended the discussion from the development process of the theoretical system of socialism with Chinese characteristics to the current changes in the economic situation, analyzing the increased economic pressure on construction enterprises from the current socio-economic situation, and clarifying how to effectively recover funds and ensure the normal operation of funds under conditions of tight funds.
