The Ninth Engineering Department Party branch held its 2017 organizational life meeting and democratic appraisal of Party members on March 13 and March 16 respectively. The meetings were held in the small meeting room of the project department. The meeting was presided over by Comrade Fu Guo, secretary of the Party branch.

At the meeting, Comrade Fu Guo reported on the work of concentrated study and discussion, heart-to-heart talks, and soliciting opinions widely before holding the organizational life meeting and the democratic appraisal of Party members. He also reported on the work of the branch in 2017 and checked the problems existing in the Party branch construction. Subsequently, the branch committee members and Party members checked their performance of duties, conducted party spirit analysis, and carried out criticism and self-criticism. The meeting was serious and orderly. Each Party member was truthful and criticized the shortcomings of the Party members being appraised in terms of study, work, and life, and put forward opinions and suggestions.

In this organizational life meeting and democratic appraisal of Party members, the branch made full preparations before the meeting in strict accordance with the requirements of the company's Party committee. First, it concentrated on studying the new Party Constitution and the spirit of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, clarifying the main content of the "eight points of clarification" and the basic strategy of the "fourteen points of adherence," and clarifying the obligations of Party members and the basic tasks of the Party's grassroots organizations. Second, in accordance with the document requirements, it actively carried out heart-to-heart talks, ensuring that talks were held between members of the Party branch committee, between members of the committee and Party members, and among Party members; the heart-to-heart talks were conducted on a one-on-one, face-to-face basis. Third, it actively encouraged and guided Party members and employees to truthfully reflect their opinions and suggestions. By widely soliciting opinions from Party members and employees, it was possible to act purposefully. According to statistics, the branch received a total of 4 opinions, and the branch committee members received a total of 7 opinions and suggestions, all of which were fed back to individuals.
