The Sanguanbu Mengping Expressway project has been successfully completed.

On November 30, a completion ceremony was held at the Lengquan toll station, the starting point of the Mengping Expressway, which was co-constructed by the Third Engineering Project Department.

The Mengping Expressway is an important part of the provincial county-level expressway network's "full connectivity" initiative. It starts from Lengquan Town, Mengzi City, passes through Xinxian Town, and ends near Dishui Miao Village in Pingbian County. The expressway is 40.425 kilometers long. The completion of this expressway has changed the previous situation where a one-way trip from Mengzi to Pingbian took about 2 hours, significantly shortening travel time. The opening of this expressway will also play a significant role in further integrating Pingbian County into the central urban area of southern Yunnan and promoting the development of tourism, economy, and culture in the county.

The Mengping Expressway includes 11 tunnels. The Third Engineering Department undertook the construction of ventilation, lighting, and monitoring systems for 6 of these tunnels, with a total construction length of 18.86 kilometers. In addition, the department was also responsible for the construction of 8 substations outside the tunnels. During construction, the project department strictly implemented the group's "four guarantees, one control, and one cultivation" management requirements, promoting the project construction with high requirements and high standards. Ultimately, the construction tasks were successfully completed within the specified timeframe, contributing to the timely completion of the Mengping Expressway.
