Liu Tongmei

12th Engineering Project Department

"She only took 13 minutes." What we just witnessed was Liu Tongmei, a registered laborer from the 12th Engineering Project Department, collecting and inputting the personal information of several newly arrived construction workers.

From verifying entry qualifications, having workers fill out relevant registration forms for new entrants, to inputting information into the DingTalk registration system, collecting basic information of new entrants (including identity information, facial clock-in photos, emergency contact numbers, etc.), and contacting safety officers for Level 3 safety education for entrants, the whole process only took Sister Liu 13 minutes.

Communication with workers is concise and to the point, office system operation is smooth, entry procedures are meticulous and rigorous, and the entire process is efficient and effective. This is how colleagues in the project department see Sister Liu – experienced and decisive.

Dedicated and Responsible, She is Bold, Proactive, and Strives for Excellence

The real-name registration management of migrant workers is a powerful guarantee for protecting the legitimate rights and interests of construction enterprises and construction workers. In 2019, the company implemented digital management of migrant workers' real-name registration through the DingTalk system, and the 12th Engineering Department's real-name registration management also entered the trial operation phase.

This measure has played a key role in promoting the reform of the company's construction labor employment system, ensuring project quality and safety production, regulating the order of the construction market labor market, and preventing wage arrears for construction workers. However, due to the fluidity and complexity of on-site workers and the need for management to adapt to the actual situation of the project, many difficulties were encountered during the implementation process. In response, Sister Liu actively participated in training, familiarized herself with the operation manual, and continuously summarized her experience, laying a solid foundation for strengthening the project's real-name registration management and contributing her strength to the company's digital transformation of real-name registration management.

In addition to her duties, Sister Liu always pays attention to protecting the labor rights and interests of construction workers. Attendance statistics, wage table uploads, bank card verification, personal health registration, timely signing of labor contracts, ensuring full wage payment... she has never been negligent in these tasks that are closely related to the workers.

As Sister Liu's apprentice, if my initial impression was admiration, then the one-on-one teaching during the Huaxiang Phase II expansion project made me even more impressed with her. Where to find what data, what consequences would be caused by missing a step, what shortcuts there are, where to check one by one, what to emphasize in the system dissemination... She explained and demonstrated, patiently reminding me of details, and unreservedly teaching me her skills. As a mentor, Sister Liu is also strict; she demands not only high efficiency but also high quality. In the early stages of my work, I was inevitably unfamiliar, but Sister Liu often anticipated the problems I would encounter and provided ideas in advance, helping me improve my efficiency and work quality. Sister Liu's rigorous attitude towards work and her sense of responsibility constantly inspire me to become a reliable employee like her.

Rooted in the Frontline, She Leads by Example in Logistics

Since joining the company in 2011, Sister Liu has been working on the project frontline, engaged in a series of logistical support work, such as the supply of daily necessities for on-site management personnel or construction workers, and site coordination. It is these seemingly trivial but indispensable tasks that have provided solid support for the successful completion of one project after another.

In the Qujing Huaxiang Phase II expansion project and the Jinguang Phase III project, in view of factors such as tight deadlines, large personnel turnover, and irregular arrival times, Sister Liu set high standards for logistical support and developed a comprehensive and detailed response plan. She patiently listened to everyone's needs and promptly replenished supplies; she carefully collected feedback on food and accommodation and promptly added meals, blankets, and adjusted dishes; she has always been committed to solving the worries of frontline employees, and gradually she has become a reliable "housekeeper" for project logistics, receiving unanimous praise.

Although she has strong experience in logistics management, Sister Liu has never stopped learning. She keeps up with the times and optimizes her work ideas. Last year, the company issued a new project canteen management system, optimizing many management processes. From the purchase of kitchenware and food to menu planning, all require project logistics managers to complete it personally, significantly increasing the workload. A new project is about to start, and the new management system is waiting to be implemented. She didn't have time to think about the difficulties, only considering how to implement it. On the one hand, she carefully studied the relevant documents, and when she didn't understand something, she called the business management department to learn; on the other hand, she sought advice from projects that had already implemented the new system, collected problems that might arise during implementation, and avoided them in time, ultimately leading the logistics management personnel to successfully complete the construction of the project employee canteen through continuous exploration.

Balancing Family and Career, She Remains True to Her Heart for Thirteen Years

Successful project construction requires a strong team, and Sister Liu is one of them. "Honey, what are you doing?" During a break, Sister Liu was seen video calling her daughter, her care for her daughter evident. Like many engineers, Sister Liu cannot balance family and career. As a dual-income family, both Sister Liu and her husband work on the project frontline. I often wonder if she worked in the department office, she could take better care of her family, but she chose to stay on the project frontline.

2019 2024 was a year of transformation for the 12th Engineering Project Department, and also the beginning of the company's cooperation with Qujing Defang and other new energy companies. Industrial installation projects have tight deadlines, many cross-operations, diverse and complex specialties, and greater seasonal construction difficulties, requiring management personnel to be highly alert. Sister Liu resolutely took on the responsibility and chose to advance and retreat with everyone. Worker entry and exit, management personnel accommodation, canteen management, procurement of daily necessities... Sister Liu did not miss a single detail, truly demonstrating her attention to detail.

From Huashan Base to Shijiahe Office, she silently supported half of the logistical support work in the Qujing area. It is because of her dedication and devotion that she received the company's "Outstanding Female Employee" award in 2024.

Sister Liu has been like this for many years, her small figure running between multiple projects, her glove compartment accumulating a thick stack of project passes. Before the enthusiasm of one project has subsided, a new project is about to start, and she joins other project managers in a new round of battles...
