Group Trade Union holds 2024 Annual Work Conference and 2023 Annual Trade Union Chairman's Performance Appraisal Meeting

3 On January 29, the Group Trade Union held its 2024 annual work conference and the 2023 annual chairman's performance appraisal meeting. The meeting reviewed and summarized the Group Trade Union's work in 2023, conducted the 2023 annual chairman's performance appraisal, arranged and deployed key tasks for 2024, and signed key work target responsibility letters. Chen Zhouxiang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Trade Union of the Group Company, attended the meeting and delivered a speech.

Chen Zhouxiang gave full affirmation to the achievements of the Group Trade Union's work in 2023. He pointed out that in 2023, the Group Trade Union, guided by Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, deeply studied and implemented General Secretary Xi Jinping's important expositions on the working class and trade union work. All levels of trade unions and the vast number of trade union cadres practiced their responsibilities and missions in both major and minor matters, consolidated the strength of employees in promoting development, demonstrated the responsibility of trade unions in serving the overall situation, and achieved new results. The second Workers' Congress was grandly held, and the third " JianTou Cup ” basketball tournament was grandly held. The happy garden activities were well-received, labor and skills competitions yielded fruitful results. One after another practical matters were implemented, and one group after another of data were eye-catching and impressive, fully demonstrating the firm steps of the vast number of trade union cadres in their loyalty to their mission and the performance of their duties, and the vivid picture of trade union organizations at all levels caring for employees and serving the overall situation.

Chen Zhouxiang emphasized that 2024 marks the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China and is a crucial year for achieving the goals and tasks of the " 14th Five-Year Plan ” . The Group Party Committee attaches great importance to and supports the trade union work and puts forward clear requirements. Employees have high expectations for the trade union, and the direction of trade union development is clearer and the prospects are broader. Trade union organizations and leading cadres at all levels should remain unwavering in their commitment to the Group's " 3512” development goals and the Group Trade Union's " 2511” work goals and make every effort to do a good job in all aspects of the work.

Chen Zhouxiang demanded that the key tasks of the Group Trade Union in 2024 should keep a close eye on the goals without relaxation, and strive for development without slacking off. They should work diligently and strive to be the first, unite and mobilize the broad masses of employees to make new and greater contributions to promoting " five JianTou ” to improve quality and efficiency, and build a new situation of high-quality development with internal connotation within the Group. We should focus on strengthening unity and promoting development, giving full play to the role of the majority of employees; we should focus on consolidating and maintaining stability, creating a harmonious environment for enterprise development; we should focus on strengthening brands and foundations, stimulating endogenous driving force for reform and innovation; we should focus on practical matters to warm people's hearts, and make greater efforts to promote " Happy JianTou ” construction to improve quality and efficiency; we should focus on implementation and increasing momentum, and fully complete the annual tasks.

At the meeting, Chen Zhouxiang, on behalf of the Group Trade Union, held a collective integrity talk with the chairmen of the trade unions of various units, emphasizing the need to uphold and strengthen the Party's overall leadership and consciously ensure that the Party's deployments are followed by the trade union's work. We should promote the in-depth development of comprehensive and strict governance of the Party within the trade union system and place emphasis on style construction. We should conduct regular grassroots investigations, and solve the urgent, difficult, and worrying problems of the grassroots and the masses of employees face-to-face, heart-to-heart, and practically.

Chen Zhouxiang, on behalf of the Group Trade Union, signed key work responsibility letters with four grassroots trade union representatives. Participants conducted democratic appraisals of the grassroots trade union chairmen who participated in the performance appraisal and the trade union organizations whose chairmen had been in office for less than three months.

Members of the second committee of the Group Trade Union, chairmen, vice chairmen, or heads of the trade unions of the affiliated units attended the meeting.
