I am Zhang Yuejiao, the project manager of the Guning Expressway project in the Third Engineering Project Department. This is my first time receiving the company's Advanced Worker award in my seven years with the company, and I am very excited. Standing at this solemn podium as a representative of the advanced workers makes me feel even more inspired. First, I would like to thank the company and my colleagues in the engineering department for their encouragement and support, and thank all levels of leadership for their support and affirmation of my work. I believe that more aspiring and capable employees will shine on this big stage of Er'an! Next, I will share my personal growth and work experience over the past seven years with my leaders and colleagues.

I joined the company in 2017 and have worked on the Lu Mi Expressway project, the Dianzhong New Area Intelligent Equipment Industrial Park project, the Lanping County New Relocation Poverty Alleviation project, the Lanping Guyan Ancient City Tunnel project, and the Guning Expressway project. I have always been rooted in the front line, working my way up from construction worker to safety officer, from cost engineer to project manager. In project management, I have taken on different roles, personally experiencing and witnessing the company's rapid development and changes over the years.

2017 At the end of the year, the first phase of the Lu Mi Expressway project was completed and opened to traffic. At that time, I had just started as a construction worker and was preparing to continue training and improvement in the second phase of the project when the engineering department leader suddenly informed me to transfer to the Dianzhong New Area project as a cost engineer. Before I could react, I followed my mentor into the cost work of the Dianzhong New Area Intelligent Equipment Industrial Park fire protection and power projects. After arriving at the project, I quickly became familiar with the business, cooperated with the director in compiling project budget materials, and assisted the project manager in completing the process cost control work such as labor subcontracting unit price determination and engineering quantity calculation. The fast-paced learning and high-intensity work in just a few months allowed me to grow rapidly, and I successfully completed the settlement work at the end of the project. The settlement amount for the fire protection project was 537.612 million yuan, with a gross profit of 99.038 million yuan and a gross profit margin of 20.43%; the settlement amount for the power project was 330.519 million yuan, with a gross profit of 64.44 million yuan and a gross profit margin of 21.44%. Both projects were completed and settled in the same year, and the project department realized a total profit of 21.351 million yuan. Although the process was extremely difficult, the results were worthwhile, and most importantly, I grew from a novice in on-site budgeting to a cost engineer capable of independently completing the cost control of a project.

2019 That year, I independently took charge of the cost work in the Lanping area project, completing the process cost control, account preparation, and settlement work for the Guyan Ancient City traffic safety engineering and tunnel supporting engineering projects. The settlement amount was 509.131 million yuan, including 58.164 million yuan in change orders. The settlement task was successfully completed according to the expected target. The Lanping County New Relocation Poverty Alleviation project faced severe challenges in poverty alleviation, with tight deadlines and heavy construction tasks. Several projects started simultaneously, but the project management team was only one, often requiring us to concurrently hold different positions—on the construction site, we were construction workers who could lead teams; in the office, we were cost engineers who could manage data and costs; and in logistics, we were logistics managers who could buy groceries and take care of our colleagues. This required us to withstand work pressure, arrange work and time reasonably, and constantly adapt to changes in roles and positions. At the same time, I actively cooperated with the project manager to improve secondary operations, and our contract amount increased from 23.5 million to 46 million, and then from 46 million to 82.39 million, gradually gaining recognition from the general contractor and the owner through solid work style. In addition, I completed the settlement work for the Lanping County New Relocation Poverty Alleviation Emergency Water Supply project, with a final settlement amount of 352.669 million yuan. Currently, the project settlement work is nearing completion, with three projects expected to have a settlement price of 1305.5 million yuan, a gross profit of 183.816 million yuan, and a gross profit margin of 14.08%. The project department is expected to realize a cash settlement of 17.967 million yuan.

The experience of working in multiple positions has honed my adaptability and comprehensive management capabilities, making me more familiar with the requirements of various positions in the project and improving my ability to comprehensively control the project. It is worth mentioning that the project involved the construction of electrical, fire protection, water supply and drainage, weak current, municipal, civil engineering, highway electromechanical traffic safety and other professional contents. Although there were many difficulties, I never complained or gave up, and completed the work of establishing the Guanglian Da quantity model, budget preparation, and completion settlement by myself. These projects in Lanping not only allowed me to accumulate valuable management experience, but also further improved my ability to solve practical problems and my professional level.

2023 That year, I finally took on the project manager position I had long aspired to, taking over the Lijiang Ancient City to Ninglang construction power supply project. At that time, I was faced with uncompleted towers, un-cleared lines, and an imminent power-on deadline. I knew I couldn't back down at this critical moment, so I began to meticulously organize, allocate work reasonably, and cooperate with the project management team. Through orderly planning and arrangement, careful organization of construction, and continuous overcoming of difficulties, we successfully completed the power-on targets on March 28th and April 15th, gaining recognition and affirmation from the general contractor. When the project is completed, I will certainly report to the company with better results.

These project experiences have not only improved my professional skills and management capabilities, but also honed my emergency response and coordination abilities. My biggest feeling is that if you are a newly hired employee, and the project needs you in a certain position, then you should work hard, work with peace of mind, and grow quickly in that position. Don't complain, don't be afraid of hardship. Whether it's a documentarian, safety officer, construction worker, or cost engineer, every step in every position will not be in vain. Tempering in multiple positions and roles will make you a multi-faceted talent, giving you the ability to solve problems, the confidence to overcome difficulties, and the strong will to withstand tremendous pressure! Every excellent project manager in our Third Engineering Department has grown up through such rigorous training.

Today is the beginning of spring, a time of awakening and great potential! Every period of dormancy in life will have a brilliant recovery. The accumulation during dormancy is for the rise during awakening. In this season of flourishing life and hope, on the good day of the successful convening of the company's employee representative conference, I encourage my young colleagues to find their own direction, prepare themselves, and achieve new leaps in the new year. Those who have endured long will fly high!
