The Dehou Reservoir project is a major key project of Yunnan Province's water conservancy " Twelfth Five-Year ” Plan commencement , It is the first large-scale water conservancy project in the history of Wenshan Prefecture. After completion, the average annual water supply 8487 cubic meters, which can solve 25.8 tens of thousands of urban and rural populations' drinking water, 9.28 tens of thousands of mu of farmland irrigation and the water problems of Matang Industrial Park and Pingyuan Agricultural Product Processing Park. The Dehou Reservoir mainly provides water supply for the Wenshan-Yanping urban agglomeration, agricultural irrigation, and industrial water supply, and also has comprehensive functions such as flood control and ecological environment improvement. Together with the Mudi River Reservoir and the downstream embankment project, it constitutes a complete flood control engineering system in Wenshan City. The project is located 10 kilometers north of Matang Town in the mountains, with rugged mountain roads. During the rainy season, vehicles often get stuck in the mud and cannot move. The inconvenient transportation has made the project isolated from the outside world for a long time, with a shortage of living materials and harsh construction conditions. At the same time, mosquito bites are also a very serious problem in the outdoor construction environment.

At the meeting, the project department affirmed the achievements made by all employees in the harsh environment, and called on everyone to boost their spirits, strengthen their confidence, and work hard to fight a great battle for 120 days to ensure that all project targets are completed on time and on schedule. The employees of the project department stated that they will carry forward the spirit of the plateau iron army, the wolf spirit, and the craftsman spirit, not fearing risks and difficulties, and overcoming the extremely harsh working conditions of the Dehou Reservoir project with a tenacious style, in accordance with the requirements of "four guarantees, one control, and one tree", fighting a great battle for 120 days to ensure that the company's annual targets are over-completed.
