This overhaul was a planned maintenance for the Yun Copper Sulfuric Acid Plant, requiring the company to complete 5 days 28 work items (including 12 items completed within 3 days) within the given timeframe. To ensure that the progress, safety, and quality control of the overhaul met the client's expectations, the company's production management department, in collaboration with relevant functional departments, conducted preliminary planning for this overhaul task, compiled the corresponding overhaul plan, and the company's deputy general manager, Yang Pengyong, gave a briefing to the on-site management personnel. The company entrusted the implementation of this overhaul to the first and seventh engineering departments, and dispatched several safety management personnel from the company level to conduct on-site monitoring. During the overhaul, relevant party, government, and trade union leaders from the company visited the site to provide guidance, playing a positive role in the successful completion of the overhaul.

“This overhaul task was quite arduous, the time was very tight, and the pressure was immense. The overhaul required a large number of construction personnel, the construction environment had high risk factors, and the construction sites were scattered. A slight oversight could lead to safety accidents. Every time an overhaul comes around, I get nervous, but this time, thanks to the careful organization and coordination of An Er Si, the task was successfully completed,” said Master Wang, who has worked at Yun Copper for 38 years.

During the overhaul, the company dispatched a total of 200 construction personnel, and provided safety education and training to all personnel, ensuring that each construction site had a safety supervisor. The entire overhaul work started with pre-shift safety education at 7 o'clock in the morning and the latest overtime work extended to 3 am. For five days, lunch and dinner were delivered to the site by logistics support personnel. Some people ate leaning against the wall, others squatting directly on the ground. The scene of everyone eating was truly moving.

To ensure the progress and quality of this overhaul, the project management personnel held three meetings every afternoon: first, an internal company summary meeting; second, a communication meeting with Yun Copper headquarters; and finally, a coordination meeting with the sulfuric acid plant. These three meetings summarized the daily work progress and identified problems, coordinating various materials and personnel to ensure the overhaul work proceeded efficiently and effectively.
