On the morning of June 12, the company held a symposium for the second batch of young cadres in the fifth-floor meeting room. Mr. Gu Yongmao, Chairman of the Board; Mr. Xu Bo, Party Secretary; Mr. Cui Yongzhi, Manager; Mr. Yan Wenyong, Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Committee; Mr. Gan Yong, Chairman of the Trade Union; and some grassroots branch secretaries and managers attended the meeting, which was presided over by Mr. Shi Bin, Minister of the Party Committee Work Department of the company.

At the meeting, ten young cadres first made detailed reports on their achievements and shortcomings in three aspects: ideology, work, and study. The company leaders commented on the shortcomings of the young cadres in their work and helped them improve their understanding. Chairman Gu Yongmao, in his speech, affirmed the achievements made by each of them and put forward three requirements for their future development: First, work and study must be solid. They must be able to immerse themselves in their work and strive to excel in all aspects, thus playing a leading role; second, they must be proactive in their work. They should proactively think about and handle matters, proactively plan their work, and put their insights and experiences into practice; third, they must maintain unity. They should do more things that are conducive to unity, say more words that are conducive to unity, and actively promote advanced individuals and deeds within the team.

Gan Yong, chairman of the trade union, put forward four requirements for young cadres: First, correctly position themselves and maintain a positive attitude. Young cadres should clarify their responsibilities and gradually accumulate and improve their work abilities and management experience; second, always maintain a grateful heart and a sense of gratitude. Repay the company and the group with outstanding work achievements; third, strengthen the improvement of their own abilities. Young cadres should learn to grasp their golden learning period to improve their abilities; fourth, they must be politically qualified and professionally competent.

Yan Wenyong, secretary of the Discipline Inspection Committee, put forward three requirements for young cadres regarding廉政建设 (integrity building): First, they must be self-respecting, self-examining, self-warning, and self-motivating. These should be their guidelines in their future work and life; second, they must be cautious in solitude, speech, actions, details, power, and regulations. Young cadres should strictly demand themselves according to the standards of a Party member; third, they should constantly transform their thinking, enhance the effectiveness of their work, dare to take responsibility, be good at taking responsibility, and form a "leading goose" effect. Finally, Secretary Yan Wenyong hoped that young cadres could meet General Secretary Xi's twenty-character requirement for state-owned enterprise cadres: loyal to the Party, courageous in innovation, capable in enterprise management, capable in enterprise development, and honest and clean.

Manager Cui Yongzhi emphasized that young cadres should be grateful for the training mechanisms and platforms provided by the group and the company, always remember their responsibilities, understand the importance of seizing this opportunity for learning and practice, and learn to be problem-solving cadres. Finally, Cui Yongzhi put forward four requirements for young cadres: First, improve their business capabilities and overall management capabilities. Young cadres should be willing to "roll up their sleeves and work hard," take the initiative in their work, and find ways to solve problems. This requires young cadres to have strong business capabilities and overall management capabilities; second, young cadres should learn to solve problems; third, improve their abilities in areas where they are lacking. Outgoing young cadres should learn to be down-to-earth and improve their business capabilities, while introverted young cadres should improve their ability to communicate with others; fourth, they must restrain themselves. They must be honest and self-disciplined, have a good beginning, and a good ending, and maintain their integrity. Finally, the general manager encouraged everyone with the eight characters: "初心易得,始终难守" (It is easy to have an initial intention, but difficult to maintain it throughout).

Xu Bo, the Party secretary, used ten words to describe the requirements for the future development and work of young cadres: First, seek truth. Seek truth in the learning process, truly learn and understand, seek truth in ideology and work, and dare to speak and listen to the truth; second, be pragmatic. Be honest in life, pragmatic and down-to-earth in work, and practical in style; third, be diligent. Be diligent in learning, diligent in work, and strict with oneself; fourth, take responsibility. In the face of major issues and events, they should learn to take responsibility, have the ability and foundation to take responsibility, and learn to take responsibility within their capabilities; fifth, set an example. Young cadres should set an example for young people, an example in learning, in working hard and diligently, in innovation, in promoting company development, in transmitting positive energy, and in abiding by the law.
