Zhang Jinrun: Please rest assured, the Party, the rejuvenation of the country depends on us

A thousand-foot-tall tree has roots, and a river flowing thousands of miles has a source. A hundred years ago, on this ancient yet young land of China, when the clarion call of the May Fourth Movement, "宁肯玉碎，不为瓦全" (Better to be shattered jade than a whole tile), resounded throughout China; when Mr. Lu Xun's call, "此后如竟没有火炬，我便是唯一的光" (If there is no torch in the future, I will be the only light), awakened the sleeping lion; when Mr. Li Dazhao's cry, "以青春之我，创青春之国家" (With my youth, I will create a youthful nation), encouraged confused students, they were like lamps and fires, gathering into a galaxy, gathering into the light that illuminates the nation! One hundred years of overcoming obstacles, one hundred years of forging ahead, the inheritance of generations of Chinese people, the continuous struggle of generations of communists, the Chinese nation has gone from "standing up" to "becoming prosperous" and then "becoming strong." The unity in fighting the epidemic, the arduous efforts in poverty alleviation, under the witness of the times, China today stands among the nations of the world. However, the future national treasures must be today's youth.

Today's youth are the hope of China's future. At the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, the youth representative's speech was inspiring, and the enthusiastic words, "请党放心，强国有我" (Please rest assured, Party, a strong nation depends on us), resonated deeply. Behind this declaration of youth is the overflowing confidence and pride of contemporary Chinese youth. Who could have imagined that the generation once called the "垮掉一代" (lost generation) would become the main force in the country's vigorous development? In the deserted border markers, the bustling vaccination sites, and the booming countryside, there is such a group of lovely young people. They defend the honor of the motherland; they are our "guardians." The young people of the new era have taken over the torch from their predecessors, inheriting the revolutionary spirit of fearlessness and sacrifice, transforming it into the power of faith, and will make a significant contribution to the history of the Chinese nation.

These words, between the lines, are moving and inspiring: How fortunate to be born in China and witness a century! Born under the national flag, growing up in the spring breeze! When the people have faith, the country has strength, and the nation has hope! The five stars shining are all China, the five stars shining are all faith! This is the pride of the Chinese nation, the great glory of the Party and the people, and the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. In the Party's century-long history, we can always see the spirit of "苟利国家生死以，岂因祸福避趋之" (For the sake of the country, I will not hesitate to sacrifice my life, regardless of fortune or misfortune). At the moment of life and death, revolutionary predecessors worked tirelessly and even sacrificed their lives for the sake of the nation and the happiness of the people. In the midst of dire straits, older scientists and revolutionaries stood up for national rejuvenation and to avoid nuclear threats from the West, working tirelessly and even concealing their identities. The rich and profound Chinese culture and the tortuous history of the nation always give me endless strength. The deeds and examples of those red spirits always help me answer the questions I encounter in life. Today, the legendary era will continue, the stories of heroes are still being written, and the songs of rejuvenation are being sung. The green mountains will never die, and the green water will flow forever. One day, we will create an even more glorious history.
