Recently, the Sixth Engineering Project Department held a 2024 annual symposium on the theme of "Integrating Party Building into Production and Operation to Promote Development" at the relocation project of Yunnan Copper Industry Co., Ltd., Southwest Copper Industry Branch. Yang Yu, the Party Committee Vice Secretary, Employee Director, and Chairman of the Trade Union of the company, and the company's safety director attended the meeting to commend the advanced individuals of the "Party Member Assault Team" and "Youth Assault Team" in 2023 and the winners of the Quality Month themed activity competition. More than 60 cadres and employees from the Engineering Department participated in the meeting.

At the meeting, the manager of the Engineering Department led everyone in reviewing the achievements made by the department in the past year. The branch secretary summarized the work carried out by the branch in the past year and conducted pre-Spring Festival integrity talks.

The meeting held a "One Person, One Opinion on Development" activity. Participants, around the theme of "Reviewing and Summarizing 2023, and Looking Forward to Striving in 2024," enthusiastically shared their thoughts, opinions, and suggestions, actively contributing ideas for the development of the Engineering Department. The meeting emphasized: First, the project department should further strengthen project basic management, implement the group company's "four guarantees, one control, and one cultivation" management requirements, and comprehensively improve basic control capabilities. Second, strengthen the settlement and collection work of key projects. Third, continue to strengthen the construction of the cadre and talent team, do a good job in cultivating and introducing young and middle-aged employees, and optimize the talent structure. Fourth, all cadres and employees should further establish the orientation of integrity for the public, clean work, and upright conduct, and continue to build a clean engineering department.

Yang Yu pointed out at the meeting that establishing "Party Member Assault Teams" and "Youth Assault Teams" in urgent, difficult, dangerous, and heavy projects has always been a fine tradition of the group, and it is also a powerful tool for grassroots party organizations and group organizations to integrate into the central service of production and operation. The assault team leaders are the assault leaders carefully selected by the engineering department. We should increase publicity about them, establish typical examples, and do a good job in the establishment and cultivation of assault teams with the idea of using one to drive a group.
