The tunnel lighting fixtures for the Shangri-La to Lijiang Expressway power supply and lighting project, constructed by the Third Engineering Project Department, have been fully installed and successfully illuminated, except for the left side of the Kadagu Tunnel. On April 25, the project department conducted a brightness test on the tunnel lighting fixtures along the entire line.

The Shangri-La to Lijiang Expressway has a total of 26 tunnels with a total single-hole length of 79.862 kilometers. This includes 2 extra-long tunnels, 15 long tunnels, 4 medium tunnels, and 2 short tunnels, accounting for 31.6% of the total length. Additionally, there are 3 ramp tunnels located at the Huitiao Gorge interchange. A total of 24,855 lighting fixtures are installed along the entire line. Except for the left side of the Kadagu Tunnel, where installation is incomplete due to unsuitable working conditions, all other tunnels have been fully installed and successfully illuminated.

The Shangri-La to Lijiang Expressway is a pilot project for a national green demonstration highway and an important part of the national green, circular, and low-carbon transportation system. To save energy, all lights in the tunnels use LED light sources. Despite challenging construction conditions, including significant altitude differences and unusual weather, all management and construction personnel worked continuously, seizing every opportunity to work even without complete work surfaces. The project accelerated its progress through optimized construction organization, strict safety control, and rigorous schedule planning.

The illumination of all tunnels marks a significant milestone in the Shangri-La to Lijiang Expressway power supply and distribution project and contributes to the goal of opening the highest-altitude expressway in Yunnan Province.
