11 Month 21 Afternoon of the day to 22 Day, Yunnan Construction Investment Group Development Building welcomed many energetic faces. They were the graduating students participating in the group's 2021 Autumn campus recruitment fair. Nearly 2000 students from major universities across the province and beyond, after 11561 people passed multiple rounds of selection, gathered in the Development Building as scheduled, adding vigor and vitality to the building... The lively atmosphere and enthusiastic smiles of the students dispelled the chill of early winter in Kunming.
Wang Xiaofang, Deputy General Manager of the Group Company, visited the recruitment site in person, going to each booth to learn more about the recruitment situation. The recruitment fair also attracted attention from Yunnan TV and Yunnan Daily. In this recruitment, the group's affiliated 58 units provided 1000 job positions for graduating students next year. Positions cover five areas: investment and financing, scientific research and design, engineering construction, collaborative development, and functional management, further divided into 26 positions.
The day-and-a-half-long second interview has ended successfully, with on-site signings reaching 1076 people. Holding such a large-scale recruitment fair within the company, independently planned and organized by the group, sets a new record in the history of Yunnan Construction Investment's talent recruitment!
Manual praise - Humanized one-stop service
The recruitment fair was divided into two sessions: one for universities outside the province and one for universities within the province. The session for universities outside the province was held on the afternoon of 11 Month 21 day, and the session for universities within the province was held on 11 Month 22 day. For both recruitment fairs, student entry times were 12 pm and 8 am respectively. Regardless of the session, students waited outside early, especially for the in-province session, where the approximately 1.5 kilometer-long queue was quite spectacular, stretching from the south gate, through the west gate, and all the way to the north gate. The scene was crowded but not congested, busy but not chaotic, presenting a thriving scene.
The recruitment fair was located at the east gate of the Development Building. Students who left from the west gate were not allowed to re-enter the site. Each area at the recruitment site had clear responsibilities, thoughtful considerations, and prominent functions. The humanized one-stop service received unanimous praise from the students.
In the queuing waiting area, to ensure the safety of the site during the epidemic, students at the south entrance of the Development Building needed to present their ID cards, undergo verification and temperature checks before entering the building to queue. Applicants scanned the "Second Interview Qualification Confirmation Code", "Health Code", and "Travel Code" in sequence using their mobile phones. Under the guidance of staff, they needed to strictly register their ID cards and health commitment letters, and after multiple checks to confirm that there were no errors, they could enter the second interview site. To avoid congestion, the registration office arranged 18 staff from the property management company to quickly handle registration procedures for students.
Entering the site, 58 interview booths of units were neatly displayed in front of the applicants in order. At the entrance, a giant promotional display board showcasing the group's strength and the recruitment plan was eye-catching. Students stopped in front of the display board to learn more about the group's basic situation, development status, and specific information such as the recruitment majors, number of recruits, and booth numbers of each company. Each booth also had its own promotional display board, and staff were arranged to enthusiastically answer questions for the students. As students entered one after another, the recruitment fair site gradually became lively. Each applicant held multiple resumes, and each company's booth was filled with students applying for jobs.
Following the principles of "fairness, justice, openness, competition, and merit", the work of each stage of the recruitment process strictly followed the standard procedures and regulations. The Group's Discipline Inspection Commission and the Supervisory Office of the Provincial Supervisory Commission stationed at the Group supervised the entire recruitment process , effectively ensuring the openness and transparency of the recruitment. The security team dispatched by the Group's Security Department maintained order at the site.
At the policy consultation desk, a student asked: " 58 Are the booth numbers ranked according to the company's strength?" The staff answered truthfully : Each company under Yunnan Construction Investment has its own strengths, 58 the booth numbers of the units were determined by lottery under the supervision of the Group's Discipline Inspection Commission the day before the recruitment, and the ranking is not in order of importance; there is no such thing as one being better than another."
In addition, a rest area and a medical station were thoughtfully set up on site. In the rest area, chairs, water dispensers, computers, printers, copiers, and free mineral water and pastries... everything that could provide convenience for students was included. The medical station was located next to the registration desk, with a small medical kit containing all the necessary equipment to prevent emergencies.
The signing registration desk, as the name suggests, is the area that makes students happiest. Students who received offers signed and stamped here and signed a tripartite agreement. Only one employment notification letter could be received per person, and it could not be changed after registration. During the interview, resumes could be submitted to multiple interested units within the specified time to participate in the interview.
On the signing wall next to it, students left their autographs. From anxiety to reaching an agreement with their interested units, the students who successfully signed contracts were satisfied and returned home with full hearts...
Fierce competition - Fortunately 20 had already found employment before
In previous special recruitment fairs, campus presentations only covered 4 to 5 provinces and 60 schools, and on-site signing was conducted on campus. This 2021 autumn recruitment, the campus presentation scope was expanded to more than 20 provinces and 130 universities. After the presentations, and importantly, the group adopted an independent recruitment method, unifying recruitment within the group. After strict selection through resume submission ( 11561 copies), resume screening ( 8716 copies), preliminary interview ( 5170 people), etc., the selected candidates for the second interview ( 2000 people) were eligible to enter the recruitment fair site.
Resume submission, screening, interview invitations, and interview scoring were all moved from offline to online; the initial interview was divided into two modes: online interviews for students outside the province and offline interviews for students within the province. Students outside the province were interviewed via one-way video and real-time remote video, while students within the province were interviewed in the JianTou Development Building office building.
The offline initial interview within the province adopted a structured interview format. The initial interview time was based on standardized question sets, scoring sheets, and interview environments. The group organized the assessment according to unified recruitment standards and selection methods. The interview candidate list, question sets, and scoring sheets were uniformly unsealed and distributed by staff members. 3 The number of interviewers was 1 interviewers conducted interviews with
The final interview, which was this recruitment event, adopted a "double-selection + semi-structured" interview method, ultimately attracting nearly 2000 students. Students from outside the province traveled great distances, using various transportation methods such as airplanes, high-speed trains, and ordinary trains, to arrive at the scene.
The intense competition and strict interview environment led colleagues to exclaim: "The competition is too fierce; if it were me applying, I'm not sure I'd be hired!" Another attendee posted on their social media: "The younger generation pushes the older generation aside...Luckily 20 I found a job many years ago. Today's recruitment brings an influx of fresh talent to Yunnan JianTou, which makes me very happy."
Overcoming obstacles—Yunnan JianTou, here we come!
Yang Yuanxiang, a graduate student from Southwest Jiaotong University's geological engineering program, whose home is in Hebei Province, successfully obtained a position at Jitou Company. offers He shared his "transportation dream" with reporters: "Kunming, as a crucial bridgehead region in the national Belt and Road Initiative, has enormous development potential. Yunnan JianTou is a key player in the Belt and Road Initiative in Yunnan Province, and its rapid development in the highway sector in recent years is remarkable. My expertise can be fully utilized here. Both the province/city and the company perfectly align with my aspirations. Even being far from home cannot deter me; I believe Yunnan JianTou Group is the ideal stage for me to showcase my abilities!"
Lei Jiapei, a student from Central University of Finance and Economics, who is about to receive a master's degree in applied economics, also received an offer for an investment and financing position at Jitou Company. offers This young woman from Dehong Prefecture shared her feelings with reporters: "The competition at Jitou Company was extremely fierce. A long line of interviewees faced only a few positions, a ratio of one in ten, even more competitive than the civil service exam. I feel incredibly honored to join the Yunnan JianTou family."
“I'm a native of Kunming, and I see Yunnan JianTou's brand logo everywhere I go. The company's strength, combined with my desire to return home, makes Yunnan JianTou my top choice." Chen Hongzheng, from Guangzhou University of Technology's engineering cost (municipal direction) program, said, "Kunming was named a 'National Sanitary City' this year, so there's huge potential for municipal engineering development. My major focuses on cost control for projects, maximizing profits for the company. I will cherish and work hard in the municipal general contracting department."
“Before the interview, my teachers, classmates, and family praised Yunnan JianTou Group as one of the top companies in the province and recommended that I work there. After coming to the group's building for the second interview, it truly lived up to its reputation!" Liu Zhongjun, from Kunming University of Science and Technology's safety engineering program, received an offer offers and felt both excited and nervous: "This morning, the line of people waiting for the second interview stretched from the south gate to the north gate. I was both surprised by the intense competition for such a good company and worried about not being selected. Fortunately, my interview went well, and I successfully obtained the position. I will work harder to repay the company and prove my worth."
Of course, some students left with regrets. Those who weren't hired confidently told reporters: "This comprehensive interview gave me a new understanding of Yunnan JianTou, especially after visiting the group's building and experiencing the strength of this leading provincial enterprise firsthand. This strengthened my determination to work here. Not being hired this time has motivated me to prepare for next year's recruitment. With this practical experience, I hope to return here again in the future."
Next year's spring unified recruitment will provide job opportunities for 2021 recent graduates (including the classes of 2020 and 2019 ) who haven't yet found employment. To those who left with regrets, we say: keep up the good work! We'll see you again at Yunnan JianTou when spring arrives…
