Eight departments participated in the Yunnan Provincial Construction Industry "Quality Month" theme observation activity

To increase publicity of relevant laws, regulations, standards, and the "Engineering Quality and Safety Manual" related to engineering construction, on September 20, the CPC Yunnan Provincial Construction Industry Association branch committee organized and held a "Quality Month" themed party building observation activity at the Kunming Spring Eye Commercial Center project. A deputy production manager from the Eighth Construction Department participated in the observation activity.

Spring Eye is positioned as a landmark of Kunming's era. As a large-scale urban complex representing Kunming's cross-era development, it encompasses residential, commercial, business, entertainment, and tourism functions. At the main venue, the host unit used clear and concise 3D animation to showcase the basic situation of the Spring Eye Commercial Center project to the attendees, mainly including the project's design concept, construction progress, application of new technologies, and introduction of technological highlights.

After watching the demonstration video, the observation group visited the steel structure model exhibition area, new technology application exhibition area, first-floor electromechanical sample room, BIM and smart construction site application exhibition area, second-floor electromechanical sample room, and masonry sample room. Through the explanations of the technical explainers, the observation group learned about the six new technologies applied in the Spring Eye project, including basement structure formwork fastener technology, ultra-high-rise core tube formwork reinforcement system technology, aluminum alloy formwork technology, large-volume concrete wireless temperature measurement technology, high-formwork safety warning system technology, and steel pipe giant columns and steel pipe shear wall concrete pouring quality monitoring technology. Among all the exhibition areas, BIM and smart construction site applications became the most attractive "black technology," and the near-real BIM+VR technology experience also made all the attendees eager to try.

This observation activity fully leveraged the platform role of the "Quality Month" activity, playing a positive role in promoting and disseminating advanced engineering quality concepts and management methods, promoting the spirit of excellence, and enhancing the quality and integrity awareness of construction enterprises.
