Reflections on the Educational Film "The Fall of the State-Owned Assets 'Worm's'"

Following the unified arrangement of the company's Discipline Inspection Commission, the Ninth Engineering Project Department organized a viewing of "The Record of the Annihilation of State-owned Assets 'Worms'". Through watching and learning from "The Record of the Annihilation of State-owned Assets 'Worms'", the typical cases in the film are thought-provoking, giving us another spiritual baptism and serving as a wake-up call for the vast number of leading Party members and cadres. It also reminds each of us Party members and cadres to lead by example, firmly establish the correct outlook on life and values, strengthen theoretical study, improve Party spirit, and correctly handle the power in our hands. Uprightness and integrity, clean governance, are not only the basic qualities that every Communist Party member must possess, but also the basic requirements of the Party and the people for Party members. Based on my own work and study, I would like to share two points of understanding:

First, strengthen learning, remember the Party's purpose, and firmly establish the ideological concept of integrity and dedication to public service.

The individuals involved in the warning education film, such as Liu Gang, former Party secretary and chairman of Yunnan Provincial State-owned Capital Operation Co., Ltd., relaxed their studies, leading to moral degeneration, loss of Party spirit, and the abandonment of the principles and ideals that a Communist should possess, seriously damaging the political ecology of Yunnan's state-owned enterprises. The ideological backsliding and collapse of values led him to ultimately betray the Party's principles and go down a path of no return. In our daily work and study, we must be guided by Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, always remembering the original aspiration and mission of the Communist Party, and remembering that power belongs to the public, not the private. We should further strengthen Party spirit learning and warning education, improve Party spirit cultivation, establish a correct worldview, outlook on life, and values, cultivate excellent conduct, forge noble sentiments, promote integrity, strictly abide by Party discipline and national laws, earnestly implement the eight-point regulations of the Central Committee, and take the lead in practicing the various regulations on integrity and self-discipline. As Party members and cadres, we must hold ourselves to higher standards, maintain a clear distinction between public and private affairs, uphold integrity and reject corruption, always be wary of 'hunting,' and prevent the misuse of public power and rent-seeking. We must build a strong anti-corruption wall in our ideological consciousness, truly be cautious in solitude, at the beginning, in small matters, and in actions, building from the depths of our hearts a line of defense against the temptation of greed, having clean hands in our work, a dedicated spirit, and truly achieving integrity and uprightness.

Second, focus on our duties and wholeheartedly serve the employees.

The negative examples in the warning education film, in the face of the temptation of greed, lost their principles of governance, disregarded Party discipline and national laws, and used their power as a tool to seek personal gain, ultimately leading to disgrace. Only by correctly handling the power in our hands, firmly establishing the idea of governing for the people, and devoting all our energy and wisdom to serving the employees, can we forever maintain the character of a Communist Party member, truly reflect the value of life, and achieve noble ideals. As the Party branch secretary and manager of the engineering department, in our work, we must remember the responsibilities and missions entrusted to us by the Party and the people, further strengthen our learning, establish "four consciousnesses," strengthen "four confidences," and uphold the "two safeguards." We should further enhance the determination and self-consciousness in implementing the company's various rules and regulations, continue to use learning as an important prerequisite for improving our own qualities, adapting to the needs of new developments, and consciously implementing various regulations, and persistently and consistently do a good job. We should meticulously carry out Party conduct and integrity building work, take the prevention of job-related crimes as the starting point and foundation of our work, establish the idea of doing everything for the employees and doing everything for the employees, go deep into the front line of construction sites, and practically solve practical problems for the employees.

Anti-corruption and promoting integrity is a long-term and arduous task. Party members and cadres must be strict with themselves, be honest and dedicated to public service, be upright and incorruptible, always maintain the integrity of a Communist Party member, and truly remember our original aspirations, keep our mission in mind, resist corruption and prevent change, and keep the alarm bells ringing. Only in this way can we contribute to the continuous improvement of Party conduct, and make positive contributions to the company's production and operation and leapfrog development.
