At the report meeting, Comrade Du Fuguo recounted how he was injured. At the critical moment of mine clearance, a single “ You stand back, let me do it. ” Unfortunately, a dud mine suddenly exploded, the explosive force and fragments knocked him down, and he lost his hands and eyes. His dedication to his mission and his fearlessness in the face of death deeply moved the audience. Life is what people desire. Righteousness is what people desire. When the two cannot be reconciled, Du Fuguo resolutely chose righteousness over life. From the comments of his father, leaders, and comrades on his daily behavior, we learned that Comrade Du Fuguo is a person who has identified a path and firmly walks it. At work, he faces danger with “Let me do it”, dirty and tiring work “ I'll do it first ” ，opening up channels “ Follow me ” ，when encountering difficulties “ I'm here ”。
Du Fuguo always says, “Whatever the Party asks me to do, I will do it; wherever the Party asks me to go, I will go,” always upholding the ideal belief of “do one thing, love one thing, and excel at one thing.” Upon learning of the news of the formation of a mine-sweeping unit, he immediately submitted an application to the organization; after experiencing the danger and sacrifice of his comrades, he still insisted on staying in the unit, “I must complete the unfinished cause of my comrades”; in the mine-filled “ghost gate” and “death zone”, he often shouted to his comrades, “You stand back, let me do it!”
The most important thing in learning from and publicizing Du Fuguo is to vigorously promote the spirit of responsibility of “Let me do it” throughout society. This is not only a report on the advanced deeds of a “role model of the times”, but also a spiritual baptism for the audience. The title of “hero” also has a special meaning in times of peace. Heroes have not gone far, heroes are among us, and they are illuminating the way forward with their heroic and fearless deeds, inspiring us to move forward. In our work, we should dare to take responsibility, strive for excellence, never give up in the face of difficulties, shoulder historical missions, and strive to build the company into a strong state-owned enterprise army.
