Li Bo, male, born in July 1987, started working on the production line of the company's third engineering project department in February 2009, engaging in electrical equipment installation. For 11 years, the construction projects he has participated in cover industrial electrical installation, civil building electrical installation, five-star hotel electrical installation, highway electromechanical installation, and other fields. Through continuous learning, practice, and summary in professional technology, he has grown from an apprentice to a technical pacesetter in the construction project electrical installation and debugging operation, making contributions to the company and the innovation of electrical installation technology application in the construction and installation field. In January 2018, he won the honor of the first Yunnan Provincial Yunling Skilled Craftsman.

Passing the Torch, Continuously Improving Work Skills

Li Bo said: "From campus to the workplace, from a naive apprentice to the current technical leader, from being flustered to being confident, along the way, no matter what position I'm in, every step of my growth is inseparable from the careful guidance of my seniors. Perhaps there is no formal master-apprentice relationship with my seniors, but those who excel are teachers. Along the way, their help and support have been the cornerstone of my rapid adaptation and growth, the courage and strength that have kept me going, and have allowed me to overcome my fear and move forward."

When he first entered the workplace, Li Bo was assigned to the Xun Dian Nanlin Group's electrical and instrumentation installation team, participating in the installation of grounding grids, cable trays, and power distribution equipment, as well as the debugging of the installed equipment. Due to school limitations, his understanding of many debugging devices was limited to textbooks. Li Bo was very happy to be able to participate in 10kV electrical debugging work in person. While excitedly moving and debugging equipment and preparing for work, he received a notice of a new work assignment and was transferred to another project, missing the 10kV electrical debugging work. More than half a month later, when he returned to the project department, he saw a banner on the wall of the switchgear room that read "First Powering Successful." Li Bo felt a sense of unease.

But opportunities and challenges always appear unexpectedly. After the 10kV switchgear room was energized, the next step was to cooperate with the process equipment team for single-machine debugging. "I received a notice that the 10kV motor needs to be test-run. Now only you are left in the team. Although you didn't participate in the operation at the last minute, you have done enough preparation work. Don't be nervous, just follow the previous procedures. You take over first, I'm on my way back." The team leader called and said. The unexpected call made Li Bo instantly flustered.

"At that time, I was really scared. I had never done any practical drills and didn't know how to operate. Moreover, the owner, supervisor, and other relevant personnel were all present. Compared to the disappointment of not participating in the 10kV electrical debugging work before, I now even more hoped to escape this task." Speaking of his first real "close contact" with electricity, Li Bo said that the memory was particularly deep, but the arrow was on the string, and it was impossible to retreat. When he heard the voice of "can close the switch" from the walkie-talkie, everyone looked at Li Bo. All the fear and helplessness put pressure on his mind, so he had to tell the truth: "I have never actually operated 10kV equipment, I don't know how." "If you don't know, why are you here! The work was arranged yesterday, and you were asked to come earlier today, but you kept delaying, making everyone wait for you, and now you say you can't handle it, how do you do your work?" the supervisor shouted. Li Bo was stunned. He flinched in his first battle, feeling sad but dared not speak out. Seeing this, the project technical leader quietly said to me, "The equipment is fine, go get the operating handle, I'll teach you; first disconnect the ground knife, then push the trolley in..." Under his guidance, Li Bo calmed down and started the operation. Suddenly, the walkie-talkie came again: "The motor is running, but the direction is wrong, please stop it." After the shutdown operation, the project technical leader said again, "You know how to handle the reverse direction, right?" Li Bo quietly replied, "Yes." "Then go and do it, remember to discharge first, pay attention to safety!" After handling it, the motor ran normally. Then the project technical leader said, "You are very skilled in operating 0.4kV equipment, why are you scared of 10kV? Is this your first time operating 10kV equipment? When you have time in the future, study the drawings more, operate more, and you will become proficient. The principles are similar." Hearing this, his heart felt warm, and he was no longer afraid of "electricity," Li Bo said with a smile.

"In my life and work with the project seniors, although we are colleagues, we are also good teachers and friends. They not only provide careful guidance in professional technology but also teach me how to behave, making my heart gradually stronger and growing step by step!" Li Bo said. In his many years of work, Li Bo has transformed what he has learned into actual production and popularized it among front-line operators to better serve production operations. Li Bo pays special attention to sharing his operational experience with everyone and constantly infects those around him with his focus and dedication to his work.

Learning and Applying, Achieving Innovation and Efficiency

Li Bo said: "I can find fun and a sense of accomplishment in my current work, which is the main reason why I can keep going. Construction site life is monotonous. The people and things I see every day are the same. There is no rich entertainment life, no family companionship, so I find it very meaningful to spend my spare time studying the problems I encounter. Different projects have different construction process requirements and require different problem-solving methods. Whenever a problem is solved and a project is successfully completed, I always feel very happy and have a great sense of accomplishment."

Since joining the company, with his awe and love for electrical installation, Li Bo has personally handled everything from the most basic familiarity with drawings to complex installation and debugging, striving to understand the principles involved. Li Bo knows that with the continuous changes in production processes, what he has learned is no longer enough to meet the needs of reality. He combines his work scope, learns electrical installation technical specifications, construction process flows, process technologies, and "new materials, new technologies, new processes, and new equipment," understands relevant information inside and outside the industry, improves his professional theoretical level, and broadens his perspective on thinking about and proposing suggestions from a professional point of view. At the same time, through his efforts, he obtained a junior college diploma in Electrical Automation from Kunming Metallurgical Polytechnic, actively participated in various professional technical training organized by the company, and completed the transformation from intermediate worker, senior worker to technician in 7 years.

In the various electrical and instrumentation installation tasks he has completed, Li Bo can skillfully solve technical problems in electrical and instrumentation construction and actively summarize and accumulate experience, forming relevant technical summaries and plans, innovating technologies, improving and compiling professional technical papers on electrical and instrumentation, and vigorously promoting them. He has made significant contributions to the telecommunications signal installation in the company's highway and tram projects and can make timely work summaries based on the problems, feelings, and experiences encountered in the project. When equipment malfunctions and others cannot solve them, Li Bo always stands up at critical moments, resolving the problems skillfully, and striving to do every project entrusted to him by the company perfectly.

Adhering to the Post, Achieving a Wonderful Life

I first met Li Bo and learned his name during a company-organized video shoot about skilled workers. He initially struck me as shy and reserved. However, during the shoot, when discussing his work, operational processes, and sharing his experience, he spoke eloquently. The words "humble, practical, and unassuming" perfectly describe Li Bo, and this is the unanimous opinion of his colleagues. For over ten years, whether under the scorching sun or in the freezing cold, he has worked diligently and steadfastly, without boasting. His journey from apprentice to construction team leader, technician, and finally, the lead electrician in the engineering department, powerfully demonstrates his practical spirit, unassuming nature, and dedication. According to his colleagues, "Li Bo is a typical 'tech enthusiast.' Since starting his career, he has focused on electrical installation and instrumentation debugging, contributing his light and warmth in his ordinary position."

"Skills are a worker's livelihood; solid skills are essential for job security." He loves his work, dedicates himself to it, and delves into it. After eleven years of dedication, Li Bo has mastered solid theoretical knowledge and proficient operational skills. Through continuous practice and reflection, he effectively controls the entire process of engineering quality and various factors affecting it ("people, machines, materials, methods, and environment") using the PDCA cycle and quality control techniques. This ensures that the engineering quality meets design intentions and national standards. Further researching industrial electrical automation technology, he has made significant contributions to the company's expressway and tram projects in telecommunications signal installation, creating significant economic value for the company.

At JianTou An'er Company, there are many employees like Li Bo. They work in ordinary positions, quietly and diligently, working tirelessly. They may not have earth-shattering achievements or moving feats, but they diligently and conscientiously do their jobs well. They are the true protagonists of life, the backbone of the enterprise, and the worthy role models around us.
