2020 On the morning of New Year's Eve, the first rays of dawn appeared, a light rain fell outside the window, and a cold wind seeped through the cracks in the door, causing an involuntary shiver. This year's Spring Festival was destined to be extraordinary and unforgettable, as the sudden outbreak of the novel coronavirus touched the hearts of every Chinese citizen.

Wuhan, the epicenter of the epidemic, became a place many wanted to flee from due to the pneumonia outbreak. Yet, a group of people chose to forgo their holidays and family reunions, resolutely embarking on a journey to the front lines of the epidemic. Among these courageous individuals were medical personnel supporting Hubei, and even more, Chinese construction workers who answered the call to duty!

The epidemic was the order, and the site was the battlefield. The eagerly awaited Huoshenshan Hospital has now become the main battleground against the epidemic. 1000 With a capacity of beds, Huoshenshan Hospital has become a testament to "China Speed." Behind this achievement lies the dedication of countless construction workers.

Total construction area 3.39 square meters. The large scale and tight deadline presented numerous challenges. This was a race against time, a competition against the virus, a battle that could not afford any mistakes and had to be won. Faster, faster! The roar of machinery, the constant activity, the tireless work—in this race against the virus, every step of the construction process was scheduled down to the hour, and every construction worker toiled day and night. Their goal and belief were one: to complete the project as soon as possible and overcome the epidemic. 1 Month 23 Day construction began, 24 Day, over a hundred excavators arrived on site, 25 Day, official construction began, 26 Day, the first model room was completed, 27 Day, site leveling, gravel and sand backfilling were all completed, and the first batch of containerized prefabricated houses were hoisted and assembled, 28 Day, the steel structure of the double-story ward area took shape. 2 Month 1 Day, the installation of medical equipment began, 2 Day, the project was completed and handed over. Huoshenshan Hospital rose from the ground amidst the roar of machinery. Behind this speed was the innovation of Chinese construction technology, richer experience in fighting the epidemic, and the unbreakable strength of China's unity.

From 1 Month 23 Day of construction to 2 Month 2 Day of handover, it took only 10 days to complete the entire process from design to handover. Under normal circumstances, constructing a hospital of this scale would take at least two years. The Director-General of the World Health Organization, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, commented in surprise, "I have never seen such mobilization in my life."

Racing against time, before Huoshenshan Hospital, we had probably never been so concerned about the construction of a hospital. Every day, like tens of millions of netizens, we sat in front of screens of various sizes, voluntarily acting as "cloud supervisors," witnessing "China Speed." Watching the construction team working day and night, regardless of the weather, we were both excited and moved.

As a member of the Chinese construction workers, we are not unfamiliar with such construction scenes, and we are even more aware of the hardships behind it. This is a microcosm of more than 10,000 construction workers. The "infrastructure maniac" has no superpowers, only unity. This fearlessness, this perseverance, these little details, show us the backbone that has supported the entire nation through vicissitudes and hardships, yet still stands tall.

There is no winter that cannot be overcome, and there is no spring that will not come. We have the enthusiasm to embrace the warm spring, and even more the courage to dispel the cold winter. Like those Chinese construction workers who are selfless, fearless, and tireless, JianTou people are always ready, and when called upon, we will return to defend our homeland.

The wind outside the window is gradually warming, and cherry blossoms by Cuihu Lake have begun to sprout. The vitality of all things is brewing, and spring is coming.
