Yunlv Runxin Project of the company successfully completed the main hoisting work of the No. 2 desulfurization tower

Recently, the desulfurization tower No. 2 for the Yunlv Runxin Aluminum Industry Co., Ltd. Electrolytic Flue Gas Deep Treatment Project, undertaken by the company's metal structure processing center, was successfully hoisted into place.

It is understood that the project includes two desulfurization systems. The construction content covers the fabrication and installation of non-standard equipment such as desulfurization towers, flue gas pipelines, process water tanks, auxiliary water tanks, limestone powder silos, platforms, and ladders, as well as the installation of process pipelines, valves, electrical and thermal control equipment, and the supply of some materials.

The desulfurization tower, as the core equipment of the project, has two units, each 51 meters high and weighing 88 tons. During the hoisting of the No. 2 desulfurization tower, the limited space between two electrolytic aluminum production lines presented challenges, including a narrow construction site and strong electromagnetic field interference.

To ensure the smooth completion of the hoisting work, the project department planned in advance and selected a crane that had undergone special shielding treatment and had completed multiple hoisting tasks in the strong magnetic field environment of other aluminum plants. At the same time, in view of the limited hoisting space, the large weight of the equipment, and the high welding difficulty, the project department adopted a segmented fabrication method, dividing the desulfurization tower into five sections. Hoisting was carried out using a full-terrain all-terrain crane for segmented hoisting and a vertical assembly method. Finally, after more than half a month of unremitting efforts, the hoisting of the No. 2 desulfurization tower was successfully completed, laying a solid foundation for subsequent work.
