There are people who work tirelessly on the production line or in various departments. They are hardworking, dedicated, and contribute silently to the progress of projects. Their quiet strength is admirable and drives the company's growth. This series of reports on the company's WeChat platform highlights these individuals and their contributions.

This edition features the Industrial Workers' Center. Chang Shuangfeng authored "Through Thorns and Forward—The Surveying Team of the Pingzhang Photovoltaic Project at the Industrial Workers' Center."

2023 In April, the Industrial Workers' Center sent a three-person surveying team—Yuan Hong, Xiong Jianglong, and Zhu Yi Yin—to the Pingzhang Township Suoshanlin photovoltaic project.

"Surveying is the eyes of engineering." As surveyors, they adhered to the principles of truth-seeking and data-driven decision-making, completing their tasks and leaving their mark on the Ailao Mountains.

Surveying is challenging, but perseverance is key. The surveying team left for the construction site at 6:30 AM daily. They used satellite positioning receivers to locate targets, completing over 40,000 base points. They often faced harsh weather conditions, becoming drenched in sudden downpours with no shelter except for a container to run to, protecting their equipment from the rain.

In the mountains, they were frequently scratched by thorns and bitten by leeches and mosquitoes. They often had new injuries before old ones healed, sometimes finding half-centimeter-long thorns in their legs and hands weeks later. Despite these difficulties, they persevered, ensuring accurate positioning and project progress. Their dedication embodies the saying, "Where there is a will, there is a way."

Rigorous Work, Pursuit of Excellence. Before surveying, the team carefully reviewed the drawings, communicating with the designers to resolve any errors or ambiguities. They used various calculation methods to ensure accuracy. They meticulously checked each data point, investigating any discrepancies, even those as small as 1cm. After surveying, they organized and saved the data, learning from their experiences.

They also considered the site's conditions. They discovered that the design's coordinates were unsuitable for mountainous terrain. To meet the construction requirements, they converted the horizontal distances to slope distances, ensuring project completion.

Continuous Learning and Improvement. Under Yuan Hong's guidance, Xiong Jianglong and Zhu Yi Yin learned various satellite positioning methods, gaining valuable experience.

Zhu Yi Yin said, "We learn from each other. Surveying is crucial for construction accuracy. As a novice, I strive for precision, keeping errors within the specified limits. We study drawings, discuss methods, and learn from Yuan. Our efforts are gradually being recognized."

After traversing the thorny mountain paths, the team can appreciate the beautiful scenery. Their journey through challenges will lead to future rewards.

Thanks to these dedicated individuals working tirelessly on the project, the Pingzhang Township Suoshanlin photovoltaic project overcomes challenges and progresses towards completion. [Industrial Workers' Center/Chang Shuangfeng]
