120-Day Battle: The experimental section of the Sangu Department and Liulan Highway Guyan Ancient City Tunnel project is officially completed and opened to traffic

On December 28, the trial opening ceremony of the Qingwudian to Lanying Gushayandu Tunnel pilot section of the S316 Provincial Highway from Sixi to Lanying in Nujiang Prefecture, constructed by the Third Engineering Department, was held at the tunnel exit. This marks the official completion and trial opening of the Gushayandu Tunnel pilot section of the Sixi-Lanying Highway.

The Sixi-Lanying Highway is part of the "one expressway, two main lines, and six channels" framework highway network of Nujiang Prefecture, serving as an east-west trunk line connecting Dali and Lijiang to the east and Myanmar to the west. It holds significant importance in Yunnan's highway network. Located in Nujiang and Dali Prefectures in northwestern Yunnan Province, this highway connects three counties (Lushui, Yunlong, and Lanying) and seven townships (Sixi, Laowo, Biaocun, Tue, Yingpan, Lajing, and Jinding) in the two prefectures. The Gushayandu Tunnel pilot section of the Sixi-Lanying Highway is a crucial horizontal component of Nujiang Prefecture's "cross" road network plan, serving as a vital passage for Lanying to connect with townships along the river and the prefecture's capital, Sixi. The completion and trial opening of this section not only shortens travel distance and time but also effectively addresses safety concerns caused by snow and ice on high-altitude sections during winter. It shortens the distance between towns along the route, significantly contributing to regional economic and social development, strengthening ethnic unity, and promoting poverty alleviation among local residents.

At the trial opening ceremony, Ma Guoqing, Vice Chairman of the Nujiang Prefecture CPPCC and Secretary of the Lanying County Committee, spoke highly of the project's construction and praised the group's dedication and spirit of overcoming difficulties.

Since its entry, the project management team of the Gushayandu Tunnel pilot section of the Sixi-Lanying Highway's traffic safety and electromechanical engineering project under the Third Engineering Project Department has overcome difficulties and challenges with a strong sense of responsibility and mission. They have completed numerous construction milestones to a high standard, fully demonstrating the spirit of the plateau iron army, ensuring the successful opening of the tunnel section on December 28th.
