120-Day War | The Lanping No. 2 Water Plant Project of the Three Ministries Successfully Passes Acceptance

On December 15, the Lanping County Second Water Plant, constructed by the Third Construction Department, successfully passed its acceptance inspection. The acceptance of this project marks the successful completion of the most important safe drinking water project in Lanping County's relocation of impoverished people, ensuring the task requirements of "being able to relocate and stay," and is of great significance to Lanping County's successful achievement of poverty alleviation and eradication.

The project benefits a total of 8,187 households and 33,000 people, including 4,964 households and 21,000 people in the north urban resettlement area (Yong'an Community, Yongchang Community, Yongtai Community); and 3,223 households and 12,000 people in the Shangcunqing and Shigudian resettlement areas (Yongxiang Community, Yongxing Community).

Since the start of the Lanping drinking water project, all participating personnel of the project department have earnestly implemented the group's high requirements and standards of "four guarantees, one control, and one tree," with a high sense of political responsibility, closely focusing on the main goals of "two no worries and three guarantees" for the relocation of impoverished people, contributing their due strength to making up for the shortcomings in the construction of water supply projects in the resettlement areas of the relocation of impoverished people in Lanping County.

May 10, 2019: The first phase of the Lanping County relocation of impoverished people's concentrated resettlement point drinking water safety emergency project (north urban resettlement area) commenced.

Main construction content: Construction of one new sand-blocking dam, one water-retaining dam, two water intake points, one sedimentation tank and water collection well, water source intake project covering 10.0 mu; construction of 13.0 km of new raw water transmission pipeline, with along-line mud discharge valves, air release valves, inspection wells and air release valve wells; construction of one new 200 m³ pressure reducing water pool, covering 0.5 mu.

September 8, 2019: The first phase of the Lanping County relocation of impoverished people's concentrated resettlement point drinking water safety emergency project (north urban resettlement area) was officially completed and successfully put into operation.

October 10, 2019: The first phase of the Lanping County relocation of impoverished people's concentrated resettlement point drinking water safety emergency project (Shangcunqing and Shigudian resettlement areas) commenced.

Main construction content: Construction of 4.2 km of new water transmission pipeline, using 743 m of DN200 ductile iron pipe, 3025 m of DN200 welded steel pipe, 228 m of DN300 welded steel pipe, 188 m of DN300 ductile iron pipe, with along-line pressure reducing valves, mud discharge valves, air release valves, inspection wells and air release valve wells.

November 20, 2019: The first phase of the Lanping County relocation of impoverished people's concentrated resettlement point drinking water safety emergency project (Shangcunqing and Shigudian resettlement areas) was fully completed, and water supply to households was successfully achieved.

March 9, 2020: The Lanping County Second Water Plant commenced.

Main construction content: Designed according to a long-term scale of 10,000 m³/d, the water plant covers 12.6 mu, with one new water distribution well, one integrated water treatment equipment room, one water treatment equipment room, one 1200 m³ clear water pool, one backwashing pump room, one recycled water pool, one sludge thickening pool, one sludge dewatering room, one comprehensive building, and other supporting facilities.

June 30, 2020: The main project of the water plant was completed, and water supply to households was successfully achieved.
