The group ranked 5th among the top 80 Chinese contractors in 2020

On November 27, the 2020 "Top 80 Chinese Contractors and Top 60 Engineering Design Firms" award ceremony and China Construction Industry Elite Forum, jointly presented by Engineering News-Record (ENR) of the United States and China Construction News, was held in Nantong, Jiangsu Province. The Group, with a total engineering contracting revenue of 109.832 billion yuan, was included in the "Top 80 Chinese Contractors" for the 17th time, ranking 5th for four consecutive years, and is the only Yunnan Province enterprise on the list.

According to the organizers, the ranking of the 2020 "Top 80 Chinese Contractors" was primarily based on the companies' engineering contracting revenue in 2019. In 2019, the total output value of China's construction industry increased by 5.6% year-on-year to 24.8 trillion yuan, and the added value of the construction industry accounted for 7.16% of the GDP, the highest point in the past 10 years, highlighting the construction industry's position as a pillar industry in the national economy.

According to the list, China State Construction Engineering Corporation Limited remained at the top of the Top 80 Contractors, with its operating revenue exceeding 1 trillion yuan for the first time last year and maintaining a growth rate of over 20% in 2019 at the trillion-yuan level, reaching 1.2142 trillion yuan, with a year-on-year growth rate of 21.3%. China Railway Construction Corporation Limited and China Communications Construction Company Limited, two major state-owned enterprises, ranked second and third with 830.4 billion yuan and 617.4 billion yuan respectively. Shanghai Construction Group Co., Ltd. continued to rank fourth with 277.3 billion yuan, becoming the leader among local state-owned enterprises. The fifth to tenth places were Yunnan Construction Investment Holding Group Co., Ltd., Nantong Sanjian Holding Co., Ltd., Zhongtian Holding Group Co., Ltd., Hunan Construction Engineering Group Co., Ltd., Zhejiang Construction Investment Group Co., Ltd., and Beijing Construction Engineering Group Co., Ltd. The operating revenue of these six companies fluctuated around 100 billion yuan. According to statistics, the total operating revenue of these 10 companies in 2019 was 3.5448 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 16.1%, accounting for 67.3% of the total operating revenue of the Top 80 Chinese Contractors that year.
