Company leaders inspected and guided the desulfurization and denitrification project of No. 3 and No. 4 coke ovens at the Iron and Coke Business Department of the Beijing Shougang Guizhou Shuicheng Iron and Steel Company in the Twelve Departments.

On November 30, Gu Yongmao, chairman of the board, visited the No. 12 Engineering Department's desulfurization and denitrification project for coke ovens No. 3 and 4 at the Shougang Guizhou Shuicheng Iron and Steel Company in Beijing to inspect and guide the work.

The desulfurization and denitrification project for coke ovens No. 3 and 4 started on August 10, 2019. Both systems for coke ovens No. 3 and 4 consist of: steel structures such as desulfurization area steel frames, denitrification reactor steel frames, and flue gas reheater steel frames; installation of non-standard equipment such as denitrification reactors and ammonia water storage tanks; flue ducts, process equipment, and process pipelines. The two systems include over 1200 tons of steel structures and non-standard equipment installation. During the peak construction period, nearly 150 construction workers were deployed. The main construction of both systems was completed on November 28, and flue gas was tested on November 29. Currently, the remaining work includes the later-added operating platforms, flue duct and process equipment insulation.

After arriving at the construction site, Chairman Gu inquired about the project's safety, quality, and remaining work. He then followed up on the remaining work: 1. The arrival of materials for the later-added operating platforms; 2. The deployment of personnel for the flue duct and equipment insulation team; 3. The current insulation work is being carried out at heights of 5-23 meters. Given the low local temperatures, icy conditions, and slippery scaffolding, he discussed safety precautions with the on-site manager.

Chairman Gu fully affirmed the project team's efforts and achievements, praising the project team's management and the construction workers' perseverance and hard work. This project has received positive feedback from the leaders of the Beijing Shougang Shuicheng Iron and Steel project, who highly praised our company's cooperation, quality, safety, and schedule, and sent a letter of thanks. Chairman Gu made the following requests: First, the current priorities are the construction of flue duct and equipment insulation and the safety management of high-altitude operations; second, as this is our company's first collaboration with the Shougang Group, all project personnel should fully understand the strategic importance of successfully completing this project for the company's future development; third, fully implement the "two safety" spirit, work together, and strive hard. During this critical period of construction, we should organize rationally, cooperate closely with the Shougang Shuicheng Steel Construction Command, and carefully construct the project. While ensuring safety and quality, we should accelerate the pace to ensure that the operating platforms are completed by December 10 and the anticorrosion and insulation work is completed by December 15.
