On October 30, Gu Yongmao, Chairman of the Board, and Yang Pengyong, Deputy General Manager, visited the Laos Elephant Town project of the First Construction Department for on-site guidance.

The Laos Elephant Town project consists of two phases. Phase 1 mainly involves the clearing and construction of three roads, while Phase 2 focuses on the construction of individual buildings. Located in the capital city of Savannakhet Province, Laos, the project is situated in Laos' largest wild elephant habitat, home to 75% of Laos' captive elephants. Themed around Asian elephant breeding, protection, and rescue, the project combines Laos' beautiful natural scenery to create a unique, culturally rich world-class Asian elephant tourism town integrating sightseeing, leisure, experiential activities, and educational awareness.

Phase 1 commenced on December 22, 2018, and has completed final acceptance. Phase 2 started on May 1, 2019, with all main structures of individual buildings now completed, achieving an overall progress of 85%. Despite challenges such as incomplete drawings and numerous design changes, the project team successfully maintained the schedule through the collective efforts of all personnel.

Accompanied by the on-site project manager, Chairman Gu and his team inspected the three roads completed in Phase 1 and the ongoing construction of various units in Phase 2. For Phase 1, two suggestions were made: 1. Pay attention to the protection of completed works; Phase 2 construction must protect the completed works of Phase 1 to ensure the successful completion and acceptance of the entire project; 2. Consider local climatic conditions and ensure proper integration of road works and drainage systems for Phase 2 units to ensure smooth rainwater collection and drainage during the rainy season. For Phase 2, the following suggestions were made: 1. Capitalize on the current favorable construction season; on-site management personnel should coordinate effectively, ensuring safe construction and project handover by the end of the year; 2. Wooden truss lifting must strictly adhere to the project department's "Safe Lifting Operation Procedures" before lifting; 3. Construction must reflect the design's architectural features, highlighting the artistry of the tourist attractions while meeting safety requirements. After the on-site inspection, the company leaders visited the project department's meeting room. Chairman Gu and General Manager Yang extended warm greetings to the employees, inquiring about their living and working conditions. Chairman Gu conveyed updates on the company's recent production and operations, urging everyone to meticulously organize this project, ensuring progress while controlling costs. Project management personnel should summarize and accumulate experience from each project to foster continuous growth.
