Chuxiong Gas Project of the Seven Ministries conducts emergency drills for gas rescue and repair

On the afternoon of July 2, the Chuxiong project department of the Seventh Construction Department, in conjunction with the owner, Chuxiong China Resources Gas Co., Ltd., conducted an emergency drill for gas rescue and repair at the construction site on Minsheng Road.

The drill simulated a gas leak caused by municipal construction work on Minsheng Road digging into a gas pipeline. During the rescue operation, sparks generated from breaking concrete caused a fire, and two construction workers suffered from gas poisoning and lost consciousness. After the person in charge discovered the danger, they actively organized the team members for self-rescue, prioritizing saving lives over property. They immediately reported the incident to the emergency rescue team. Under the command of team leader Wang Jincheng, the drill proceeded quickly and smoothly.

After the drill, Manager Zhang Feng of the owner's side spoke highly of the project department's preparations for the drill and suggested that such activities be carried out more frequently to improve the emergency response capabilities of construction workers to similar incidents.
